Beautiful anytime but absolutely stunning in fall. Was patches of snow when we were there. Horse camping is allowed

One of my most favorite campgrounds in NM. The view you get in the morning is so serene. The restrooms are also cleaner than most other campgrounds.

Wonderful! Peaceful! Clean! The hosts are at the head of their class! Pristine condition for such a busy place. This is a respected and respectable campground, one of the last ones to be found thanks to Mark and the crew of dedicated and appreciative people who TRUELY love the Pecos. Please keep this going by cleaning up after yourselves and supporting the rules. Enjoy! As of 2024, the hosts are no longer there and the "campers" who visit now have no appreciation for clean natural beauty. We've decided not to go back so that we can have fond memories instead of shocking disappointment.

Super campground. Large, private sites. Clean and well maintained....great hikes walking distance from camp and a gorgeous drive to the campgrounds.

This camp spot is great! Definitely arrive early because it’s first come first serve. The fees are per car, not per site or per person. And the camp host was super friendly. There was even a hiking trail near the camp grounds that was pretty fun and easy to get to. We stayed at the camp spot right beside the start of that trail. The dogs loved it!
