I really liked this place! Originally planned to stay at Diamond Lake but fires closed our reserved campgrounds. It was either this place on a first come first served basis or Collier. I booked Collier just in case but this place was so peaceful and pretty that we stayed here instead. It's small but there were only three other sites used on a Sunday in July. The water is freezing and there are a ton of mosquitos. Bring bug repellent. 30 minutes or so to Crater Lake entrance. There were lots of day users. Overnight charges were $11. Credit cards were accepted.

Happened upon this place on my way to see Crater Lake and what a find!!! Good thing I had brought my paddle board and a second mode of travel, so that I could experience the Wood lazy River paddling experience down to the Wood River Day Use Area. It took me about 2.5 hours and was amazeballs!! Water is as advertised ❤️🥶

Great place to visit. The water is so clear! There are almost always campsites available. Restrooms are vault-style. The park is well maintained.

Absolutely gorgeous! The water is crystal clear, and freezing! We started here on our paddle boards and went down the Wood River quite a ways. Beautiful but so, so cold!
