( didn't feed them but they beg really well. Stop feeding wild animals peeps. Please!) Very quiet! Pity the Lake is so dry. Very sad. Staff was friendly. Would def come again.

Our first time there and had a wonderful time. The pictures don't do it justice. This lake is Beautiful, just Beautiful! And huge!! Lots of nice areas to picnic, grill, swim, boat, jet ski or just enjoy the day. A Great time, priced right. And there's a military discount 🫡 (Thankyou to all who are/have served) Wish I had taken more photos but was having too much fun. What a lovely day! Will definitely be going back🤩

Paid non-refundable $15 to get in on an early weekday morning. Only us to the whole park and the water was so low the beach couldn’t even be used. Water was barely deep enough for the marina area where boats are stored. Definitely not swimmable and didn’t even stay for 5 minutes before leaving.

We were told that you have to arrive before 7 or they closed the gate. We arrived at 6:30 and the road was closed. We got lucky and one worker was coming bu to leave and let us in. The should not close before what they post. After we arrived to our site it did not have water. When we made the reservation the told us that it didn’t have a place to dump your black water but not that it did not have water. The bathrooms are clean. The beach is clean. Tons of deer and foxes. I enjoyed this place. The bathrooms are very dirty. The camp hosts do not take care of the facilities. The showers flood. Mildew and bugs. There are mounds of hair in the showers. Just nasty bathrooms. There were lots of leaves and bugs in the shaded areas. It is a shame because the place makes money but they don’t invest in it’s care.

It’s a beautiful area, and the RV section was really nice—complete with a grill, a shaded picnic table, and even some deer sightings! We hiked down to the water area, which had great potential, though it could use a little cleanup to match the beauty of the rest of the place.

Friendly staff, most of the cabins and such are new. Unfortunately, the low level of the lake from years of drought is evident. I'm not sure why the primitive camp sites are so expensive. Especially since camping at a state park nearby is about half the price, and the state park has camp sites with parking and a tent pad. Both the Army and Airforce side of the lake camp sites have no markers to identify what you are renting. Just fire pits & picnic tables randomly set it open areas. Their bunk houses are only five dollars more, and you get electricity, water, microwave, and an AC unit. I don't think the price for primitive camping aligns with MWR standards of making it affordable and cheaper than the surrounding community prices. I did love staying in one of the bunk houses and felt that pricing was a deal, and the bed mattresses were very comfortable.
