Stayed here for a 3D/2N weekender with my kids. The staff from check in till we left were all very friendly. The cabin was cozy enough for our family of four. Quiet time starts 11pm but everyone around us turned down around 8pm, we enjoyed a really peaceful night by the full moon. The campground isn’t that big and everything seemed close to each other. Lucky for us, the cabin next to us was empty till the day we left and the other side was like a utility room so no guests either. They have prepared activities each day but my kids weren’t interested. Lots of things to do for the kids. The pool was closed for maintenance on the days leading to our trip but it was open for our stay. It wasn’t crowded even for a weekend. It didn’t look that clean though and definitely needs new liner. Yes there are golf carts but none of them were speeding during our stay. Lots of kids and they’re all respectful. My son made new friends too. I was hesitant to push through with our reservations because of the reviews on here and on facebook. But we’re glad we came and spent my son’s birthday here.
We visited for 3 days. A lot of activities were provided on the grounds, which gave no real reason to leave. Pool and splash pad were great for kids. The "Dog Park" is not a dog park. It is a dog run. Which is not really accommodating because you're expected to have your dog leashed at all times in the "dog park.""" They also have a dog agility space, which again you need to have your dog leashed, so I'm not sure how you're supposed to use it. The jellystone company had a lot of activities scheduled, which was very cool. I rented a premium cabin ( tiny home style ). It was roomier than I expected, but it was very dirty and not well kept. The water is leaking out the shower through somewhere under the shower, so the floor was soaked every time I got out of the shower. The pullout sofa bed is hard as a rock. You will feel every spring. Just be aware. The best part about the cabin was the water pressure and screened in back porch. They have a rule that states no golf cart drivers under the age of 16 years of age. I will tell you that that rule is not implemented. I seen children learning to drive that were way below the age of 16.
The good- decent rooms. Just need some minor upgrades to make em great. The bad-pool was closed for most of our trip. (The pool was a major selling point for us. We are a family who wanted to relax and not go elsewhere well our kids swam.) Plus it was so hot those days. The free activities were pretty much a bust. The corn hole didn't work because the bags had nothing in them. The bounce pad seemed to have very little bounce and most kids were hitting the bottom . The volleyball net was also busted well we were there. The paid activities didn't have enough stuff to complete the activities. Not worth the extra cash. Overall if your going just for a place to stay in cabin and go elsewhere you probably will do fine. Then again you will also get the same in hotel which will probably be closer to your destination. But if you're going for the campground experience this place really falls short of how it looks on the websites. We chose to cut our vacation short and go home instead of staying here. Disappointed 😞
Don’t camp here! There is no security and this past week people came in and stole 50 amp power cords (cost $350 each) off around 50 rigs. This place has yet to contact the owners (seasonal) of those rigs but got the police involved. We were there in June for a stay and had to deal with people walking/driving through our site. Marijuana smoking and witnessed a domestic around one of the cabins. Guess what? The campground knew exactly who the family was breaking these rules and did nothing about it! Save yourself money and the headache from staying here.
DO NOT STAY HERE. I will start with it is a Jellystone that was bought by sun outdoors and there websites have not merged yet, so there is different information about the grounds on two different websites. I went through sun outdoors because that was what google pulled up when I searched. No where on that website says the pool is closed after Labor Day. Leading up to my stay, I attempted to call the front office over ten times to ask a question about the length of water hose I may need. Not one time did someone answer. There wensite says some sites may require a 50ft water hose. I check in and ask about that. I was informed that my site will not need the longer hose, but if I do I can go back and they will send maintenance down. Well I get to the site and I do in fact need a longer hose. Maintenance shows up and tells me they do not lend out hoses and he has told the front desk this many times. I rented a golf cart and drove it for about ten minutes before the battery died(luckily I was pulling into my site) The place is run by kids who don't care about anything. They spoke about going out and doing drug deals in the parking lot when I was in the office with more issues I had. They are completely rude and will be the down fall of this place. My kid was told by the staff that the arcade closes and 9pm. We went at 730 and they were closing it up dating it closes at 8pm. Well it was only 730pm. After arguing they opened it back up. Worst experience ever.
