Took the kids up for a weekend of tent camping. The sites were clean and the park was well kept. Easy access to the river and plenty of activities to keep the kids busy. Staff was chill and the atmosphere was very laid back. Was a good experience for anyone looking for a convenient weekend outdoors.
I have been a long time patron of Yogi Bear Natural bridge, however the customer service I have received over the past 7 months has been ridiculous. I have been trying to obtain a refund since May 21, 2024, for the Cindy Bear Lakeview Cottage. On May 21, I called to cancel my reservation and was informed that I would receive my refund by check due to the card on file no longer being in service. I was assured this process would take approximately six weeks. After waiting seven weeks without receiving the check, I followed up and was told the refund could take up to three months. At the three-and-a-half-month mark, I called again and left multiple messages, but I did not receive a response. After persistent efforts, I finally spoke with someone who informed me that no one at the campground could assist, and I would need to call again. I requested that my information be passed to a manager, but I received no callback. Despite continuing to call multiple times per week, I was either unable to reach anyone or left messages with no follow-up. On November 11, 2024, I was able to speak with a manager, Crystal, who explained that the park managers were attending a conference in Tennessee. She assured me that she would relay my message and that I would receive an update the following Monday or Tuesday. However, since then, I have been unable to reach anyone by phone. This situation is completely unacceptable and has gone on for far too long. My family has been loyal patrons of Yogi Bear Natural Bridge for over 15 years, camping with a group of more than 50 people. This ongoing delay has caused significant frustration and left a very negative impression for our entire group.
My family and I just left today and WOW! We had an incredible trip. Every staff member was so kind and helpful. There were activities to do ALL day for the kiddos. Each of us had so much fun and can not wait for our upcoming trip. The campground was clean and the Cafe was great for lunch/dinner or a snack. Definitely a topnotch experience. A special thanks to Ally and Heather!! They were so sweet to our kids all weekend and made sure they felt included in everything they did. Our son really enjoyed Lee and Kyle too. Thank you to all the staff for such a great experience!!
We tent camped at Jellystone in Natural Bridge for 2 nights in August. I was absolutely blown away by our experience. When we arrived, we were escorted to our site by Ben, who was very friendly and welcoming and made sure we had everything that we needed. The activities staff is amazing. They really care about the kids and made sure that my children had a great time. We participated in pledge and morning stretch, face painting, free crafts, a bubble and foam party, a pool party, and tattoos by the pool. At one point, my youngest child was disobeying the rules for the water slide and the staff member who spoke with me about it (who I believe said she was the activities director or activities supervisor) was very kind and respectful and helpful. This is also the cleanest campground that we have ever camped at. All day long, staff is cleaning up public areas and picking up trash from the campsites. Most campgrounds have really dirty bathrooms and bath houses, but these ones were immaculately clean no matter what time of the day or night we visited. Great Job to everyone. We will definitely be back.
We were excited to bring our 4 and 6 year old boys to Jellystone for a Tuesday to Saturday stay in October 2024, driving over 500 miles one way. Staff were nice and friendly . We were told to wait at check-in for a golf cart who pointed to our site, gave us a thumbs up and left. Since no one was around us, the sure signs were kind of confusing. We figured it out and set up. The camp store closed at least an-hour-and-a-half early on Wednesday, which was very frustrating. They asked me what I needed as they pulled away on their golf cart. I told them I needed ice, but would drive the few minutes to the Spirit down the hill. My husband went to buy a common forgotten supply (coffee filter) and they didn’t have any and he observed that there wasn’t really any commonly forgotten items like we find at our local Jellystone Indianapolis East. Laundry room and arcade were clean and we had fun playing games while we waited for our laundry to finish. I also liked the laundry app they use that tells you the time left on washer/dryer. There were a lot of people coming in on Wednesday/Thursday and it seemed nearly everyone had golf carts. It wouldn’t have been so bad if the younger drivers would have observed the 5.5 mph speed limit. We observed teenagers racing one another Friday afternoon after they almost took out our children. Some adults also felt the need to ignore the posted speed limit. They also blazed past all evening long, blasting music well past the posted 11:00pm quiet hours. No activities were planned until late Friday afternoon, which was understandable. However, when we went down for the scheduled movie at 8:00 on Friday night, no staff were around. We waited for over 30 minutes past the scheduled time where I learned this lack of activities starting on time or even occurring at all was a common theme with this park. There was no posting to show it had been cancelled or anything. This was frustrating, as we had anticipated this event for the few days prior since we were told upon checking in that there would be a movie on Friday night. I have been to many different campgrounds, but never one with the weekend price that was not clean. There was a lot of trash around the campground, even prior to the weekend rush. We will probably not return to this Jellystone unless we hear that changes take place where a park dedicated to families actually implements changes showing they care about their families.
