The campgrounds are a steep, curvy 7+ mile drive from the park entrance. We stayed in a fhu site for 4 nights in September. This is an aging campground that is in need of some maintenance. There were 4 different campground hosts, not sure any of them left their camper. We picked up several pieces of litter from our site & saw litter in other unoccupied sites as well. Our site was fairly level. Our fire ring was burnt out around the bottom half & our picnic table had a big chunk out of the top. No tv reception & limited/sporadic phone (Verizon) One (of 4) washers in the laundry room was out of order. Bees & mosquitoes were unbearable (I understand that the park has no control over that, but am making viewers aware).

Awful campground. Bathrooms are filthy, our camp site was covered in trash when we arrived, constant traffic and golf carts driving at all hours. One of the worst we have stayed at in Kentucky.

We've camped at this campground for many years. But we won't be coming back . The camp sites have moss growing over the black top and there are mudholes at practically every site. The weeds/ trees are growing out of the roof of the building on the dance pad. You can't get the garbage in the bend because it's overflowing. We've been here a week and nothing has been cleaned and there are no Houston any of the sites. The laundry room has green flies covering the windows and the washer/ dryers don't work also the floor is filthy. We thought last year things were a mess due to possibly updating but that's no the case. It's just being allowed to become rundown over priced . Sad to see but I won't be coming back.

Not worth the money! Run down campground that charges $40 for one person to tent camp. The camp site was about the size of two cars parked beside each other. The sites do have a picnic table, but no fire pit. Never going back.
