Jerome is a charming little town (up the mountain) full of history and at the park you get to see (and hear) about the beginnings of the town and its people, the architecture, the fires that almost destroyed everything and how they kept coming back to what is today… a beautiful town with gorgeous views and welcoming people… lots of things to explore up here!!
Loved visiting the park learning the history of this American town of yesteryear! Amazing artifacts and memories about the Fire departments and the mining town this was. There’s plenty of parking and the views are amazing. Great stop and nice gift shop before going to the town!
This was such a cool place to visit! We loved that there was a plaque to tell you what the room was originally, as well as displays for Jerome's history.
The museum and 1900 ft mine shaft are part of your entry fee. Great detail in the museum. The Rangers were funny and extremely nice. The old asylum is now a restaurant which we ate at. Wonderful food, highly priced. There is a 6pm ghost tour on the main street, it's on Google for directions. Lots of inexpensive unique shops. Free parking by the fire station. From afar the town resembles a Mediterranean or Spain look. Very unique, worth the drive.
This historic park is certainly worth a visit and the USD 7 entry fee. We watched the movie and had a look at the exhibition before visiting the town of Jerome. There is sufficient parking.
