Quaint, country style secluded cabins surrounded by water. We fed the gators marshmallows, which the owner recommended, and they love them!
I would give it zero stars if I could. The cabin wasn't cleaned when I moved in. The furniture looks like something found on the side of the road. The mattress was old and torn. The main house looked like it was falling apart. I was paying $1000 a month for a cabin and it was not worth it. The bathrooms were always disgusting and everything smelled old. For all the money this place brings in a month you would think the owner would put some back into the business. You don't sign any paperwork when you get there. It's just you and the owner's agreement. A guy shot and killed a gator because it came out of the water and tried to attack him. Joe got mad and sent out a group text saying that nobody needed to be shooting his alligators. He advertises fishing but I fished almost every day and only caught 1 catfish. I do not recommend this place if you have small children or animals due to the gators being used to being fed. There also isn't any kind of camera system out there for security and the wifi is only good in the main house.
NOT KID FRIENDLY . caught RSV from how bad the mold is in the house , nothing in the house is cleaned , yes it got my family by,however , there was a lot of DRAMA with people in the cabins vs. people in the camp house . Joe takes up a cleaning fee , however , i only seen Joe at the cabin once within a 2 month time period . Claimed there were going to be renovations within the 2 month i did nothing but spend money on CLEANING SUPPLIES . woke up everyday ILL . 🤒 If you do camp here make sure to bring bathroom supplies, kitchen supplies, bed sheets the whole 9 yards. the bedsheets are the ones in the pictures and they haven't been washed . I wasn't able to keep food at the house due to the rat invasion anything i kept in the fridge was stolen and ate before i could even think about eating it. Very noisy, very non professional. I do not recommend Joes Cabins unless you don't have a life .
This place is nice and relaxing. The people are nice as well. Unfortunately there’s no internet. So people can’t work via from Joe’s cabin, surf the web or watch Netflix . This place needs WIFI AND A ICE MACHINE. EVERYTHING ELSE IS GREAT! We will be back and hopefully enjoy this beautiful place to the fullest.
Great place to camp on the water! It’s affordable, quiet, and captures that classic Southern outdoor camping vibe. Definitely planning to come back, especially now that they have Wi-Fi! Woohoo!
This is not a good place for someone who is working 12 hours shifts this place is dirty falling apart people stay up all hours of the night blasting music and partying. My wife tried bringing our toddler not a good place for a kid unless you don't mind all the smoking drinking and no sleep. The cabin mattress has mold and cigarette holes all in it. It is very secluded and the prices will help save your per diem but not worth it
