Very kid friendly and open weekends. I’ve taken my toddler and infants boys here many, many times and they are always very intrigued. A nice weekend stop especially over the winter when it’s cold and the toy/souvenir shop is located in the adjacent building.
No tickets are needed. Fabulous combine in the middle of the equipment display. Even a snowmobile from the 70's.. Wow! Old tractors' new ones. Across the walkway is a great store filled with official John Deer collectibles from t-shirts, baby cloths, and of course TRACTORS. green and earth moving equipment. Nice bathrooms. Very kid friendly!
My Dad and I visited during the Christmas holiday season and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We were able to learn the history of John Deere and how it is positioning itself for the future and the new economies that will emerge. The gift shop was a hit with my Dad as he was able to add to his collection of replica machinery. This was a great learning opportunity for my Midwestern heart!
Great place to visit and see a piece of John Deere's history. Getting to see the actual size of the machinery, especially the harvester, is amazing! You can get in several of the machines. The technology in the cabs is amazing! The sheer size of the equipment is incredible. The tractor tires are taller than I am. Do yourself a favor if you're nearby and take an hour or two to visit!
We had so much fun at the John Deere Pavilion, and the best part was that it was only a short stroll from our hotel, which made it super convenient. I was really taken aback by the number of visitors there, all eager to check out the tractors. They had it setup with steps so that we could actually climb inside a bunch of different models, which added a fun twist to our visit. The whole place was spotless, and right across from the museum, there’s a gift shop that’s definitely worth a look. #bucketlist
