Decent little cabin. We rented it because we have a baby and the cabin has air conditioning and he is currently teething, and gets fairly grumpy when he gets warm/humid, as central Illinois currently is. The only slight gripe is the nearest outhouse is a small hike away. Otherwise very decent view of the lake, and the cabin is well built and sleeps 4 in single bunks and 2 in a queen-sized bed inside. The AC unit also is a heater, which is very helpful for the cooler months.

I didn't stay there. I was in the area. Beautiful view though. Excellent place to see the lake and its beauty and wildlife. So many different kinds of animals to see. Many trails to walk and explore. Visit this place when in the area for sure.

It's the best birthday I've had in 55 years. I should have done this long ago! Friendly park Ranger, clean and welcoming cabin and very few folks around in November. I'll be back next year!!!!

I LOVE this place! It is nice and secluded from the campgrounds, has private parking, and a beautiful view down to the lake where you can dock and launch small boats. I simply cannot tell you how amazing this place is. Good for winter and summer family camping trips!

They have cleared out more brush so you can see the lake from the cabin! Can't wait to go back next year!
