Decent swimming area and boat launch. Nearby RV park is apparently party city with noise late into the night. Long drive in on non surfaced roads making access to other areas with hiking or activities a bit of a drive. Shade is sketchy. Probably best arriving by boat.

Beautiful view. I like that it's a small camp site up to 9 spaces. The down part about this campground is that there is not much to show for. We didn't find a trail. There is no swimming/beach area. There is a boat launch and two docks. There is public vault toilet and garbage cans. On the campsite itself there is a picnic table and fire ring. Lots of trees for shade. Not too bad of a campground.

Bring shade, water and ice! Primitive camping; no running water. Scorching hot in the summer, but the lake is cold and refreshing. No beach at camp. It's sharp rocks under the water. Bring floats or a raft. It's a 30 minute drive on gravel road from Wilbur, the nearest town, so bring what you need!

We Love Jones Bay! Unfortunately, this year it was inundated with bees. Out of the 23 people in our group there couldn't have been more than 4 that didn't get stung at least once. Most people more than once. Hopefully they will figure out a way to remove some of them from the area. This Campground only has 9 campsites and no running water, but it does have a potty that gets cleaned once a day.

Beautiful, secluded setting. Crappy road going in, but worth it. Only a few sites - online reservations recommended.
