Met up with 300+ of my fellow Amtgard players for a fun time of Fantasy Medieval Combat. Grounds are great, has power outlet access, toilets, laundry and showers. Having a sweet castle mock up on site is a plus.
I have fond memories of the 1st two concerts here with George Jones. 9/5/83 was the 1st. Me and Judy and Dave brought sound and lights for George. The show was broadcast on the radio. It was Georges birthday. We partied with his sons in their home down the street. Jon Anderson was a awesome also. Wolfgang's Vault has the show for download. I have my own board mix of the next shows a month or 2 later.
this place is no more . Up until the year Jones passed you was able to com and take a drive down memory lane. Not now. I personally think this should become a park of some sort. Another good idea would be a benifet to restore it to it's previous glory. Really is a cool place
It is a great place if you want peace and quiet. They have showers and laundromat. I am staying here for hunting season. Very clean and well kept.
Power outlets for the RVs need to be checked, most don't work. Bathrooms have very poor water pressure for the showers.
