Customer Reviews
Very easy to get to from I-81, very easy to get to Hershey from here and I believe they run a shuttle to Hershey Park in the summer. Last year we had an issue with our camper when we arrived. They directed us to a Man that did on-site repairs. He was able to do the repair so we could leave on time to our next destination. Each person I met working here was very nice.
The staff here deserve 5 stars plus. Genuinely welcoming and very helpful. They thanked me for my patience, although I just had to wait a few minutes. Our propane was filled cheerfully, right away. They escorted us to a space and stayed awhile to make sure everything was in order, which is far above average. And compliments about their kindness and hospitality really meant a lot to them. The layout is good, location easy to find. This was our third visit, however the first two were late arrivals. This time, it was a pleasure to interact with such nice, helpful staff. I am grateful.
Campground itself was great. Location is easy to get to off 81. We only spent one night. The dog park is the best we’ve seen. Although they offer delivery from the deli, we walked over to order our food and waited. I am glad we did. The cook was not wearing a hairnet nor gloves. He picked up the food with his hands and wiped his hands on his jeans. And if that weren’t disgusting enough, the pie was covered in hairy mold.
It was a really nice camp and well maintained. Hookups are in very good shape. The staff are professional and courteous. The location is a good/bad: easy access from the highway with no goat trails to negotiate. However, this access also gives you pronounced road noise, reving motorcycles, and Jake Brakes. You can drown it out with music, but after quiet hours, you're going to have to deal with it. This being said, I will definitely stay again as the staff and facilities make up for it.
A very interesting location. Very convenient off rt. 81, easy in and out of campground. Easy to find food and gas stations 2 minutes away. Highway noise of where our site was located was loud as the campground is on a major highway. We were assigned site 42, sharing a concrete pad with another camper. For the price we paid to have an upgraded site, we should have our own site. Not much room to maneuver. They have a store on site, the usual camping things. They had a menu from breakfast to dinner. We got egg sandwiches but the eggs were black, probably due to a iron skillet or flattop not cleaned. A bit of a turn off. The bike rental location had almost every bike broken, we didn't ride so we were not affected. We were driving around the town for something to do. We found Harper's tavern and Moose LZ tavern. Both had good food and drinks. Harper's had schnitzel! Amazing good with a Guinness. We didn't do a fire at night, our fire ring was about 10 feet from the other shared site. We got lucky with nice neighbors. Halloween weekend looked like fun, lots to do if you have kids. It's an older campground and safe to be in for camping. Bathrooms clean. Good place to have a base for adventures, not too sure about staying there during the day and night. We saw a lot of transients campers staying for the night and moving on the next day. Big dog park in site.
