Absolutely wonderful campground with wonderful people working there! Easy to access, easy to find, roomy sites, gorgeous scenery, a pond with ducks, clean sites and bathrooms. This will easily be one of my top 5 private campgrounds. Verizon signal is very good. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
I stayed in one of the cabins for two nights while attending an event at the campgrounds. The staff are very friendly and willing to help. The facility is well-kept, and the bathrooms are clean. Bring your sleeping bag for the night and a towel if you plan to use the showers. At night, there were many tent and RV campers in the campground. This place is approximately 14 mi from the West entrance of the National Park. Go in early to beat the lines.
I was stunned at the level of service here. I’m not going to go into detail about it, as I fear retaliation. I just could not believe the actions taken by the seemingly grown adults who manage, operate, and own this business. I experienced extremely unprofessional treatment from the male manager, in the form of harassment and threats, and also, in my opinion, discrimination. Allowing RV’s to stay as long as they want while only letting tent/car camping customers stay maximum of 4 nights is a form of discrimination. Especially considering it was off season, there were countless camp sites open, and I was desperate for a few more days. Winter’s in that area can reach freezing or below at night, with winds traveling faster than I’ve ever experienced in my life. I had the money to pay for more time. I had already paid almost $100 for my puppy and myself, but they would not let me, citing their bogus 4 night tent camping policy. Meanwhile, the RV section was very very full, with NO LIMITS on how long they can stay, as per one of the friendly RV renters I had chatted with while our dogs were playing. To sum it up, I’ve never experienced treatment like this before in my life. I did nothing to deserve it. I paid my way. I was happy to have a place to stay and use their facilities. All I wanted was more time, and was willing to pay full prices for it, and nothing more. The way I was treated was humiliating, and there was no reason for it. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in the area. Right next to it there is the dry lake bed, which is blm, and you can stay there for free. Unfortunately, I was unaware of this, and did not find out about it until after I had left :(
One of the most beautiful campground I ever saw ! Everything is so cute and it really have a warm vibe ! The attendants are super friendly and there is so much to see on site ! 😍 No laundry room but they have warm showers ! We even extended our stay another day since we were so comfortable here !
We booked a small house in the camp. In the desert with a temperature of over 90 degrees, it is really great to have air conditioning. The beds are clean and comfortable, but the toilets are too far away from each camp. Fortunately, they are also clean. The small house we stayed in has a mobile toilet. The surrounding stench is unbearable with the wind direction. I wonder if it is not well managed? ! This is the most unsatisfactory part of the camp! Recently, wildfires broke out and the camp cannot burn fires. There was no special notice when booking. The camp equipped the small house with a gas stove, but the fire was insufficient and it took a long time for the food to be cooked! The staff was friendly.
