Stayed in site 20. No electric at that site but a very good site otherwise. Level, plenty of shade, other sites not too close. Camp host was great. Good campground to explore the area.
Lots of beautiful trials from the campsite. Would recommend going around the first week of October for all the changing leaves! PLEASE LEAVE NO TRACE :)
The only reason this great campground doesn't get 5 stars is because the mosquitoes were absolutely unbelievable—and I've been places. Maybe that's just summer in the Colorado mountains but it was misery without netting. But, aside from not being able to sit or eat outside in the evening for more than 3 minutes, this campground has a lot going for it—not the least of which is the lake where you can swim, hang out (no mosquitoes!!) or rent a stand-up board or canoe from the lodge. Sunny days on the lake. The lodge also has a good restaurant with a small bar. The hosts were SUPER. (One note: please enforce the 10pm quiet time. I'd guess that people, like us, come here for the peace and quiet.)
They have spaces for glamping and regular tents. The bathrooms were kind of horrendous at the camp grounds but the camping spaces are clean and the walkways are clear. Very gorgeous scenery, multiple lakes and trail heads nearby. We hiked up to lost lake and it was very pleasant. There's also a day use area with spaces to sit and cookout.
Level, electric site. Beaver family comes out each evening in Jumbo Lake- they put on quite a show hauling branches across the water. Saw a couple deer nearby early morning. Lots of quiet trails to explore.
