Family Camping Activities for All Ages: Games, Hiking, and Campfire Fun
Explore family camping activities that bring all ages together, from outdoor games and scenic hikes to memorable campfire fun that creates lasting memories.
Juniper Breaks Campground, located at F Lp, Pueblo, CO 81007, offers a scenic camping experience within the Campgrounds & RV Parks category, emphasizing lakeside recreation. The campground provides opportunities for both day use and overnight camping, with a focus on water-based activities.
Based on customer reviews, the campground is popular for its day-use area, particularly for paddle boarding and swimming. The campground's proximity to the lake makes it ideal for these activities. However, visitors should be aware that parking for day use is limited, especially during busy weekends, and arriving early is recommended.
For overnight campers, Juniper Breaks offers group sites with water and toilet facilities. These sites provide a more secluded camping experience, away from other campers. The lake is a major attraction for campers, offering excellent swimming and paddle boarding opportunities.
While the campground generally receives positive reviews for its clean facilities and friendly atmosphere, one potential drawback is its proximity to a golf course. Early morning noise from lawn mowers has been noted as a disturbance by some campers.
Despite the potential noise issue, Juniper Breaks Campground is a great option for those seeking a lakeside camping experience in Pueblo, CO. Its clean facilities, water access, and group site options make it suitable for families and groups. For inquiries or reservations, you can contact them at (800) 244-5613 or +1 800-244-5613.

Came and enjoyed the day use area on a busy weekend. We got there early because there’s very limited parking at this campground for day use. We pumped up our paddle board and hiked it down to the little cove. Great day in the sun! Clean facilities and everyone enjoying the water was kind and friendly.
We had a great camping trip here. We reserved the two group sites so it was away from anyone else. They had water and toilets at both locations. We had a great time swimming and paddle boarding at the lake nearby. It would have been 5 stars but we were right next to the golf course. The lawn mowers woke us up both mornings super early.
Stayed at 138. Beautiful state park and site with awesome views of the res and high desert. However as a frequent and experienced camper in CO, a friendly warning for fellow campers - while the CG is patrolled occasionally by park rangers, the CG rules are not well enforced and many campers don't show the courtesy to follow them; and there is no Camp Host to help. Fire pit was full of cans and bottles when we arrived. Generators are used a lot by the large RVs, and quiet time (10pm-6am) is not enforced or adhered too - had generators and very loud music playing well into the night (past 12am!) for 4 nights in a row. People - please show some camping courtesy!!! Definitely not the camping experience we'd promote as a local. We may come again but mid-week and hope for a quieter experience.
We got lucky with the weather. Very cool lake and not many people around us. The views are amazing 👏
Stayed at 115 and had a great time. Being next to the restroom came with a little more foot traffic, but it was expected. The kids appreciated being that close. Sites are well spaced from each other. 10/10 enjoyed with 0 complaints.
Had an amazing first time experience camping out at this location last week. I highly recommend the tent only sites even for a day excursion with friends and family.
It's relaxing n quiet n beautiful to wake up n see the water n the sun come up
