Junius Ponds Cabins & Campground

Campground, not a hotel or motel. Questionnaire not applicable. Nice Campground looked like a pleasant place to camp. If there was swimming, I didn't see it. I was there to use their RV dump station. Very nice people. If I were a regular camper, wanting to stay in the area, I definitely would stay here.

I cannot give 5 stars because we were only there for a quick 12 hour overnight. The park looks nice and the facilities were older but clean. A lot of permanent residents but very well kept. The water pressure is very low. If we get a chance to stay here again we would.

We have been going to this campgrounds for years and when we reserved sites we got the site we reserved every time. Not once did the prior owners ever state they were not guaranteed and we book in advance with friends to ensure we get sites next to each other. When we arrived a couple weeks ago the site we booked and made a downpayment on a year ago had been given to someone else. We were going to be with next to our friends whom we share all meals with but instead we were way down the park. My husband has severe asthma so walking back and forth is a struggle. The women who checked us in argued with me that it has always been campground policy that no site is guaranteed, and that she worked with the former owners. In our 15 years of camping there not once was she ever around. Extremely disappointed and we were not the only ones having the issue that weekend. Also, there was a full hook up site available 2 down from us so our friends asked to move off their full hookup site to that to be near us and they told him all the full hookup sites were taken 🙄. If he was coming off that site to move to another then put those other people on that site if sites are not guaranteed seems plain and simple. Obviously not to them. We would have gone back in a couple weeks and we had paid in full for that weekend but again they couldn't guarantee we would remain in a site near to our friends. I asked to be considered a group so that we could be but was told because our sites were different we could not. Therefore we cancelled because obviously no matter what we asked for it did not matter. It is ashame as the park is well maintained besides someone smearing poop all over the walls in the women's bathroom. (Wonder if they were upset about not being where they paid for in advance.) When my adult daughter told the store about it she felt like they thought she did it. They also have old information posted about checkout times and costs for guests that it is very confusing and needs to be updated. For example the checkout time under the glass at the check in desk says 1 pm, the email we received about reservations said 10 am but it is actually 11am. The map outside the store says guests are $3 but coming in it is $10. Camping here used to be amazing but if they keep doing this they will lose more campers than just us.

We have been Loyal Junias Ponds campers, until this weekend. The young lady on the counter was very sweet, but "management" has zero follow through. I arrived and checked in, went to my site and someone was in my spot. Come to find out that the group of folks that were there had been moved to these sites because they had the same issue. When I went back the office, the manager was called and they parked me at another Full hook up site until they figured out the issue. We waited 40 minutes and then walked back to the office and spoke to the front desk. The clerk stated that they could not do anything since the person who was on this site was not there, and they had no idea who was there, because they were not supposed to be there. The manager came out of her office and basically berated me with the " policy" of the campground, in that sites are not guaranteed, and never have been even with previous management to the campground. I told her I have always been able to stay at the site I picked. She again stated sites are not guaranteed. I asked if anyone was going to let us know what was going on, why did I have to come back to the office to figure this out. I also had friend have their reservations for memorial day cancelled on them, a week before they were supposed to go there because of construction. If you have a reservation there this year.. you might want to check to see that you are getting what you expect.

Washrooms were not clean the first day we arrived. Next morning they were cleaned though… Campers are very very nosy! Campsite numbers weren’t visible, hard to find your campsite. There was a site that had 2 large breed dogs that ran towards us and our small dog… they were off leash and could have cause a dangerous situation easily… owner of this campground should think twice to rent campsite #145 as the woman who was there that couldn’t control her 2 dogs is extremely rude.

Loved out tiny home! Only problem was that the lock box didn’t open so we had to borrow a knife to pry it open. No one answered the phone number nor the emergency number (which was posted inside the house). We couldn’t get the heat working, but the maintenance guy came and got it going the next morning. Could have been operator error :) The office didn’t open when it was posted to open. The park is beautiful, fun to walk around.

We arrived yesterday (04/15) for our 2025 seasonal site and will be staying until they close in mid-October. 🏕️🥾 Our coach is a very big travel trailer at 37' long and over 12.5' wide with our main slide extended. 🚃🐾🦝 Fortunately we got BigFoxTravels stuffed into our site. 🧐 Unfortunately our Hughes Watchdog wouldn't connect to the power-pedestal. Bill and the team here were able to get our site's pedestal sorted today so our Watchdog would allow the power to our Victron MultiPlus 2 to charge the on-board Battleborn Batteries. More details to come as our stay progresses... but we're excited to explore the NY upstate more! 🗽🧭🥾

This is a great campground to stay at! Very peaceful and enjoying! I highly recommend this campground to anyone looking for somewhere to camp in this area!

We came here once And had such a great time we signed up for seasonal site. Can't wait for April 15th!
