Located at 4513 FL-46, Mims, FL 32754, this campground provides a mix of RV sites, cabins, and tent locations, catering to families, outdoor enthusiasts, and budget-conscious travelers. The facility is part of the larger KOA network, known for its commitment to providing safe and enjoyable camping experiences across the United States.
The campground is situated in an area that offers easy access to nature and local attractions. While the immediate surroundings may not be as pristine as state parks, K.O.A Campground compensates with a range of amenities designed to meet the needs of campers. The location provides convenience for travelers heading further south or exploring Florida's diverse landscapes.
Visitors can choose from RV sites with full hookups, including water, electricity, and sewer connections, making it ideal for longer stays. Tent sites are also available, though they may be smaller than expected for some campers. Cabins offer a more comfortable option for those who prefer not to sleep under the stars but still want an outdoor experience.

The campground features a heated pool (weather-dependent) and a playground, providing entertainment options for children. Dog owners will appreciate the pet waste stations located throughout the property.
While the campground has many amenities, there are areas that need improvement. Some guests have noted issues with outdated facilities, limited fire rings, and uneven maintenance. The tent sites are particularly small, which may be a drawback for larger families or those with multiple tents. Additionally, the lack of consistent Wi-Fi service and overgrown dump station can be frustrating for some visitors.
Despite these challenges, K.O.A Campground remains a viable option for travelers looking for an affordable camping experience in central Florida. The mix of amenities, including cable TV, laundry facilities, and on-site sewage hookups, make it a practical choice for many campers. While the property may not be perfect, it offers a good balance of convenience and outdoor recreation.
Overall, K.O.A Campground is an option worth considering for families and individuals seeking a camping experience with modern amenities and a friendly atmosphere. While there are areas that need improvement, the campground's location and variety of accommodations make it a decent choice for many travelers.

Will start with playground is updated and in nice shady area. If you forget anything dollar general is next door. Only 2 positives. When pulling in you are coming straight off the hwy so if up front in RV or cabin spots you hear nothing but traffic. If you look left right or in middle you see nothing but construction and debris everywhere. The pool was closed the 3 days we were there, was told 2 guess they did not realize how long I was there. The dog area is a sand pit enclosed small area where no one cleaned their poop up. Did not use it. The cabins had moldy green on them. Open areas where siding is falling down. The “deluxe” cabin we rented had a patio area with grill and fire pit. The fire pit and the swing was rusting and dangerous for small children due to rusty exposed edges. Cabin inside first thing you notice is bedroom door broken and crooked. Then you notice the tattered curtains, duct tape where hood vent once was, broken garbage can. When you go to bathroom the toilet rocks and moves since it has no flange bolts. To wash your hands you have to dig out broken stopper so water can go down. When trying to cook the pans are not useable. The stove only had 1 burner that would light. The table was sticky and dirty. Under a matters was water bottle so the question do they change covers after each person is a no. The couch/bed has springs popping thru. Frig. Is rusty. The worst thing in the cabin is the filthy floors, used 20 mop pads both sides and floors were still dirty. Had to keep tell the kids not to sit on floor to play. 1-3-5. I kept my shoes on the whole time. When walking around you see all the construction and debris. Construction is to right, left and in middle. (Why not finish one thing up before starting new one?) there is exposed not in conduit wires. Broken tables, run over wire boxes. The place is not rustic just trashy and run down. Projects started in complete everywhere. Wi-Fi never worked. Was told to walk to clubhouse and go on it there, but Wi-Fi ends if you walk back to your cabin. This was a disappointment, pictures on line show a much different picture. We left a day early was too much with small kids and all the filth, no pool or Wi-Fi for cartoons. I know owner is new however they were notified about issues and still no one has contacted me. I think a refund other than my deposit returned. Will never go back or recommend this place.
Cons: Undisclosed $5 per night fee to keep my dog in my camper. Wi-Fi that is dialup speed at the clubhouse and non-functional at my site. Water fixture, cable TV box, and electrical box all broken... functional, but not maintained. Multiple places on property where the electrical work is not nearly up to code. Sites barely big enough to fit your truck in if you back your camper all the way in, unhook, then park sideways (seriously, a site at the state park I stayed in last night was easily 5 sites here, at half the cost). As others have mentioned, there's clearly some down on their luck folks living here, as witnessed by the old trailers with loads of junk around them and the fact they have a dedicated mail room with over 100 boxes. The cash-to-coin machine for the laundromat is in the office, which closes hours before. Dump station is overgrown and looks like it hasn't been used in years (see below). No fire rings. Grills seem to only be on a handful of sites (maybe tent only?). I don't see how the tent sites are usable... they're not much bigger than a parking spot for a full sized truck. Pros: Staff was super nice. Cable TV worked and had all the stations you'd expect. Heated pool (though I didn't test it, so your mileage may vary). Dog waste stations had bags at every one I looked at. Playground seemed serviceable (also didn't test... no small kids). Seems like every camper/RV site has sewage. Mine wasn't advertised as having it, but there it was. This is super convenient, and greatly reduces the need for a dump station. The men's room could use a new coat of paint, and maybe a pressure washing, but was obviously being cleaned frequently. Can't speak to women's. The Laundromat was spotless and the prices were surprisingly reasonable. Verdict: I will stay out the next couple nights on my reservation, but I won't be back. The amenities they offer aren't worth it to me, or aren't working.
DO NOT STAY HERE! They would not refund my money, and they have NOSEEUMS so BAD there's no way i could have stayed! They are everywhere in the air, too. RUN!!! Lily gave me a card telling me I could call the executive office. Turns out, it was only a card with their office number on it. When I trusted her, she played me for a fool. ***BEWARE*** It was not safe for me there. We went only 10 miles down the road and no problem with noseeums. Places that are clean don't have those problems.
I don't know how they're getting 4 star reviews from other people because this place sucks. KoA's are supposed to be top notch but this place is terrible. The price they charge I was expecting a resort campground. Glad I'm only staying 5 days. Bring everything you need cause the camp store has nothing. The sites, jeez no room at all and gravel and 85.00 per with a 5.00 nightly fee for a pet. What's the pet paying for?
Save yourself the headache and money. This is not a campground, this is basically section 8 housing. I reserved from out of town, expecting usual accommodations and luxuries that are of the KOA standard. This is NOT it. The park is under major construction on one side, the other is filled with trailers from the state and housing less fortunate. I understand everyone needs a little help in life, but that is something that should be told up front. When asked why they didn’t tell me ahead of time, they said they didn’t have too. I was there for 2 months. I did not sit outside my RV, as I was scared for my safety as I am solo single RVer. I had things stolen from my outdoor kitchen and the cops were always in and out. There are no activities. They offer absolutely NOTHING for the price they are charging. I paid gated community fees, while everyone around me lived there on the states money. Per the office “it’s a state program”. After another horrible night, I decided I was done, I was scared and not comfortable I finally found another park that had an opening (it’s season, spots are hard to come by) I moved immediately. I went in to let them know I was leaving and they still want me to pay 15 days - I guess that was in the agreement I signed when I made my reservation for 6 months from out of town. Even though I made several calls and e-mails to the office of shady people in the park and they knew I was not comfortable, they still want more money. Save yourself and your family the hassle, and aweful experience. This is NOT camping, or anything RV lifestyle. This is a run down trailer park.
So this is no longer a KOA. Staff was nice. Camp store was limited. Rent a fire ring $10. Free heater if you're cold and in a cabin. Our 2 cabins were fine. Grills at cabins. Pool was not heated, but it was clean. Biggest issue I have with the place is the bathrooms. Run down. Clean but looked dirty and old. Some jacka$$ left a morning present for everyone to see in a toilet. Not staffs fault. Half the soap dispensers didn't work and by 8pm they were out of paper towels. Probably wouldn't stay again.
This place sucks. I travel for work most people that do my kind of work stay at places like this rvs mainly some however stay in tents to help cut the cost of paying for a home mortgage and where we work. I set up an agreement for two weeks to stay at 551$ this was Wednesday. The company offers me a job closer to home 6 hrs away instead of 18hrs away I Thursday afternoon I move to this place Saturday because I have over stayed my time at another campground in a tent. I tell them of my situation and they tell me I was to give them a 15 day notice. I asked if they were still a koa they say no however when looked up it says Kennedy Space center Titusville koa journey. So this place has cost me 551$ only for 4 days no refund what so ever. If I could rate them lower for business ethics I would
