We stayed here at the end of September in our camper and had an incredible time. The location is beautiful and the staff are friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The campsite was well maintained and clean. Water pressure, electricity and sewer hookups all worked and the entire trip was peaceful and relaxing. We intend to make this a year site we visit to get away from everyday life. If you are towing a camper or driving an RV and want to visit the Grand Canyon North Rim this is the place to stay. The Jacob Lake Inn is nearby with food and other essentials you might need. We will absolutely be back.

Nice wooded area. We came here because it's the closest RV campground with full hookups to the Grand Canyon North Rim. The sites are just large enough and most of them are between trees (which is good and bad). This is a nice quiet, clean campground and it's near a ton of trails in the Kaibab forest - so there is more here than access to the Grand Canyon. The staff were very friendly and made sure we were happy in our site. I saw them helping other new arrivals back into their site when they showed up in large 5th wheels. Jacob Lake itself is really a watering hole for cows. There is an interesting historic Ranger cabin just a short walk from the campground.

The folks here are the best (Cindy and Maria) made us feel at home as soon as we arived. Sites are a bit small but location to the Grand Canyon north rim is perfect. Host campers gave us some tips that were extremely helpful and appreciated. We camped with 3 other fifth wheel friends from Massachusetts and would stay again in a heartbeat if in this area. Can't say thank you enough to the managers of the campground. Would suggest getting gas before driving, gas station right down the street is charging $5 a gallon because they can....yikes!

Stayed here recently for a hunting trip, as we stayed here prior before for a previous trip. We requested an available spot when we made our reservations for full-hookups, when we got here we did not receive that. Our dogs were outside in there cage, two little ones, and they started to bark just a bit. Nobody enjoys a barking dog. We had about an 8 hour trip here as well. After waking us up, the male camp host told us to put the dog inside very rudely, as did the female host. We apologized quickly and then they told us to pack our things, they don't want our money, and to get out of here first thing in the morning. We only were settled here for about 3 and 1/2 hours before this happened. We told them we had a 30ft and a full sized truck yet we got a smaller camping site.

I'm not sure why this place has negative reviews. We've stayed here 2 summers in a row and absolutely love it. The location in the pine forest is awesome, and the camp hosts are friendly and helpful. Yeah, it's a bit of a drive to the entrance of the park, but the drive is nice. They charge for showers, but if you're in an RV, you've got a shower anyway. If you're in a tent, just plan ahead and bring a bunch of quarters.
