Good for kids
Kind of pricey. I’ve been twice. I’d probably try another location. Before returning. I camped with my son. The sites seemed close too each other. I appreciated the fire pit and picnic table. The scenery is beautiful. The red rock is amazing. The river front is cool but there is no access to it unfortunately. The latrine is well kept. I appreciate the large dumpster they have. It is a fairly clean camp ground. I recommend it. It is far better than campsites inside of Moab proper that is for sure.
This campground is quiet and peaceful as the Colorado River flows past you below those astounding rocks. There is a shower and clean pit toilets and pristine portajohns placed at convenient intervals. Best of all the site manager, Dave, rode his bike by, said hello and dropped everything to fix my bike tire. We loved it!
No water. No electricity. No sewer. No dumpster. One portable toilet for 10 acres. Two trees on 10 acres. Skid steer operating during dinner time making so much dust we could not see across river. Much nicer when noise quit and dust settled. Beautiful sunset. Beautiful sunrise.
Worst campground of many we used in the US. The location is splendid but the maintenance is bad. The fee is 30$ but should be no more than 5$. No toilet paper in the toilets (only at the entrance, far from all sites) but lots of used toilet paper and garbage under the tamarisks. Deep car ruts where you would like your tent.
Nice place. Only complaint is that it’s not very regulated. The “tent” area was mostly filled trailers and someone came in who had reserved 5 spots online wasn’t able to get his spots because the sites are “choose whatever site.” And you can take spots from reservation or in person so people can come in and take a spot with cash when it was actually reserved online.
