The host is lovely, the sites are spacious, and there’s hot showers. After four days backpacking, not much could be better. There’s also a perfectly lovely restaurant directly across the road from the campground. It’s great! Will stop here again if I’m ever in the area

We rented Dolly‘s cabin and the cabinet itself is nice, but the person that is monitoring the property was very verbally, aggressive, and difficult to communicate with and very judgmental. We showed up at the house with People to help us unload because both of us were handicapped, and we brought two young boys that were from the campground to help us, and he accused us of trying to sleep more than four there although we told him we were not he continued to accuse us of lying which created a strong riff between us because we’re like wait a minute we have people here to help us not to stay here. Somehow, we got through the first day, but apparently he felt threatened by us because we confronted him on a few issues about his cameras that where there’s no posting that said there’s a camera and the fact that my wife questioned him about he was carrying a handgun and she wanted to know if he had a permit for it because she was nervous because her veteran dad was staying there and he has PTSD To make a long story short, this particular location caused a lot of trouble for us because on the very next day, he called the sheriff to have us removed because he was fearful of my which is funny and the fact that she accused him of having a gun without a permit, and he was afraid of her, he said And he additionally accused us for having having more than four people in the house in the middle of the day cooking food we had five people there which I thought was a complete ridiculous problem So after we left and dealt with leaving, we cleaned up we put our trash away. We did everything on the thing because we weren’t about to let him charge us for more things and it was just difficult to be treated that way. My hope is that if somebody reads this, they might reconsider staying there due to the reviews that you see on there or for people apparently that didn’t need any assistance or any kind of special needs help because showing up with two handicap books with two handicap passes I guess didn’t count to get help from people able to assist. Just throwing that out there.

You shouldn't stay here. If you want privacy with nature, this is the most unsuitable place. The campsite is located right on a busy highway, in a parking lot near a bar, where drunk people come out and yell right in your ear. I don't know why I drove here for 5 hours, it was a big mistake.

Loved finding this little gem, Jeff was welcoming, amenities are as listed on the website and it is close to the Sequoia National Park entrance. The restaurant across the street has great views and food. Overall, the campground was clean and had just what we needed. The reason I am giving it 3 stars is because at approximately 11pm we were awakened to someone yelling “hello! Who are you? Hello! Who are you? I’m taking to you, who are you” Over and over again. I felt very scared and eventually sat up. I saw a woman standing there. I nervously said the site number and she loudly stated that we didn’t pay. I told her we did online and she said that she couldn't see the reservation online. It was then I realized she was a camp staff or maybe the host. So I told her we had checked in with the gentleman at the Jerky stand and that he had even brought us firewood we purchased earlier. She said she didn’t see it and that she had already texted him. I looked for our reservation email and asked if she wanted to see it and she rudely said “no I believe you” and left. I completely understand and I am very appreciative that there are staff present and checking, however, the delivery and the approach was definitely uncalled for and definitely not okay. A more respectful and friendly approach would have been aceptable. For example: “hi, I’m “x” checking to see if you have a paid reservation”. The yelling and singling us out while the entire campsite was nice and quiet made us feel very uncomfortable and uneasy the rest of the night. How were we supposed to know she was staff and not some random person from the street. I hope they provide her with training and or find a way to ensure she is aware of the reservations so no one else experiences this and or isn’t rudely awakened.

Horribly marked and hard to see at night, had an online reservation, but the camp host rudely barged in to the campsite at 7 am demanding we pay (which we already had) then when she finally realized we had a reservation, she blamed us for not communicating that even though we were literally woken up by her asking for payment. She must’ve woken up on the wrong side of the bed or something, but seriously a weird level of aggression for a simple misunderstanding. Anger management classes might help.
