Large, private sites with lake access, reasonably priced. Gorgeous sunrise or sunset views, blue heron and eagle sightings. Basic restrooms without showers are nearby with a much nicer bathhouse in biking or driving distance.
I love the serenity and peacefulness of Kerr Lake. My family and I always enjoy it and we love teaching our kids about nature and how to care for it and enjoy it.
Big campsites with hookups, picnic table, fire pit and easy access to the lake. I like that it was very clean and the ranger was friendly and I saw him making the rounds every 15-20 minutes. Would highly recommend.
Beautiful places to camp right on the lake. Walking distance to the water from the camp site :) first time there definitely will be going back. The staff was helpful and very nice! The bath house is super clean and easy to use. Very happy with my visit.
Beautiful view and veru quiet and clean
The person at the entrance acted like they couldn’t be bothered. Thankfully we didn’t need to interact with them any more than getting our parking pass. That being said, the lake is beautiful! We were unlucky with a slanted lot. But it didn’t take away from our stay
We had a great campsite. The park was peaceful. Got a lot of walking in. Bathrooms need a bit more attention but overall they are nicer than most. Very disappointed that there are no trash cans, anywhere in the park. The woman at the entrance did not know why. We saw a park worker often but we were unable to catch up to him. The host stated that they collected the trash cans during Covid and never put them back out. They want us to dispose of trash at the main entrance. This is unacceptable. While walking I would see an occasional drink can, food wrapper, and misc piece of trash. Cans only need to be addressed twice a day. I saw the park worker at least that much. Funding has nothing to do with it. If he has time to ride around in his truck he has time to change out a bag. Come on park system, take care of those that pay the bills
Great sunset views from site 55
