It's up and coming. So far it's looking great. We were there the last week in May 2019. The power and water was being routed to every camp space. There is a table, grill and shade with every space. The restrooms have running water. You will need to be a roll of quarters at the bank if you want to take a hot shower.
We came in a smaller trailer. Noticed that there were large sites to accommodate larger trailers or RVs. Very scenic situated in a canyon. Bathrooms were clean, the facilities around the campsite were clean. Offers internet if you pay for it. Private showers. Very impressed with his campsite.
Great state campground right outside Caliente Nevada. You can purchase internet and they also have showers that take quarters. Lots to do in the surrounding area. Definitely check out the rock art out on highway 317 and the hiking trails in the State Park. Elgin schoolhouse is about 20 miles down hwy 317 too.
Great campground. About 20 sites. Optional utility fee for electricity and water. Should be in the shower hall of fame even though it costs a quarter. Sites are mainly big enough for even big rigs. Cell phone signal available only near the entrance.
Beautiful scenery and awesome geology. Plantings of grapevines and fruit trees through the park. Great spot for a few days. Only busy on weekends. Limited RV sites with power and water.
