Located conveniently on East Prien Lake Road, this spot has earned a reputation for being affordable and incredibly welcoming, a significant factor for anyone needing a reliable, long-term place to park their RV in Southwest Louisiana.

The spirit of the park is largely defined by its owner, Rodney Kershaw, who is frequently mentioned in reviews as being "very helpful, nice, and an all out great person," and deeply involved in the community. This personal touch creates a friendly and supportive environment for guests, often catering to those with unique situations or long-term needs. Kershaw's Cajun Village offers a fantastic balance of a natural, peaceful setting—with trails nearby—while simultaneously being within walking distance of essential city amenities.

While the park is currently undergoing exciting expansion and improvement plans, including new facilities to host gatherings and live music, it already offers full hookups in many spots and is recognized for its commitment to serving its residents. It's a place where guests are encouraged to "do yourself a favor by staying here," suggesting a strong confidence in the service and value provided.

📍 Location and Accessibility: City Convenience Meets Nature

Kershaw's Cajun Village boasts a truly unique and highly advantageous location right in the bustling commercial heart of Lake Charles, Louisiana. This strategic placement makes it exceptionally accessible for daily life, yet it still manages to offer a touch of nature's tranquility.

  • Address: 3375 E Prien Lake Rd, Lake Charles, LA 70615, USA

This address puts the RV park on a major Lake Charles thoroughfare, East Prien Lake Road, which translates directly into unmatched convenience for residents:

  • Near Entertainment: The park is just minutes away from major Lake Charles attractions, including the area’s casinos (Golden Nugget and L’Auberge) and other entertainment venues, making it a great base for both work and play.

  • Great for Workers: Its city-adjacent location is ideal for those working in the Lake Charles industrial sector or other local businesses, providing a quick commute to work sites.

  • Natural Escape: Despite the commercial proximity, the area around the camp is described as having "nature, it's all around you," including a nice trail to hike around on, allowing campers to easily step away from the urban environment.

You should choose Kershaw's if:

  • You Require an Extended Stay: The park is specifically geared toward long-term stays and offers flexible arrangements for those working or residing in Lake Charles for an extended period. The affordability and full-hookup reliability make it a solid choice for a temporary home.

  • You Value Community Over Seclusion: The park’s emphasis on the owner’s involvement, the welcoming people, and the future pavilion plans mean you are choosing an environment with a vibrant, communal atmosphere. (Note: Future guests should be mindful that a communal atmosphere and future live music may occasionally lead to a busy or crowded feeling on weekends, as suggested by one review.)

Love it here. It's affordable and the people here are very welcoming. The owner, Rodney, is very helpful, nice, and an all out great person. He is very involved in the community, and he cares about the needs of the people that stay here. He has fabulous plans going on right now of improving the camp. He has full hook ups in many spots, and he is expanding so he can offer more. He is building a pavilion to have live music or other types of gatherings. He is also in the process of building restrooms. You would do yourself a favor by staying here. Kershaw's Village offers you to be able to stay long term if you are here working or whatever your situation. If you like nature, it's all around you out here and has a nice trail to hike around on. Yet, the camp is walking distance, or jogging, to Walmart, restaurants, and shopping centers. Day rates are affordable. Give Rodney a call. You'll be glad you did.

Quiet until theres a band playing on a weekend and then you can forget getting any sleep. Too crowded! Too many spaces way too close together. U barely have room to park your car between the space your camper sits between the camper in front of you.

Descent campground thats nice and quite. You can get cable and wifi. Residents are very friendly. No other amenities. It would be better if they had a laundry room on site but there's a nice one less than a mile away. They really need a pool/playground that would make this 5 stars rating.

This is a very NEAT place. He has alot of old equipment u can look at. There's a old lawn mower race track.t son got to ride his jeep around it. He also gave us a key to his shop so we could lock his jeep up. The WiFi isn't hooked up rite now but the location is awesome. It's so close to a good shipping center and food places!!
