Rented a place through VRBO which was located at the Key Largo Kampground. This place is BIG! A combination, RV, tent and semi permanent/permanent structures make up the layout of this place. They have a strict quiet time after 10 pm which security enforces. It's far enough of the main drag that traffic noise is virtually non-existent. The pool area is nice. They have a laundry area (pay to play). And marina space for those who have a boat (size limits apply) which you can dock at for an additional fee. It was my first stay here, but it won't be my last. The Kampground attendants are friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. One of the more affordable options for a stay in paradise which is Key Largo! I didn't want to leave!

The first thing I noticed were the trees! So many trees providing a lot of shade. So many campgrounds in Florida are just parking lots. This campground had character. It was well maintained. Had very clean washrooms, two cute beaches and water access. The people were all really friendly and the pool seems to be the social center of the campground. The tent sites were well maintained and met my expectations. The only drawback was the rooster. It was located off the property but started at 3:00 am and did not stop. If you are in a camper you will be fine but in a tent you may be kept awake. I was located on site T-6. I would have given five stars if not for the rooster.

My husband and I had such a great time here with our youngest boys. From the moment we arrived the entire staff was warm and friendly. Suri and Kris made us all feel very welcomed and invited. The campground is very clean and well maintained the staff is very visible and consistently working to keep the grounds maintained. It’s very quiet and family friendly, clean and peaceful. Our teenager enjoyed the WiFi access and our youngest couldn’t stay away from the pool. They offer many different activities to keep us occupied and well entertained without having to leave the campground which makes relaxing easier on us as parents. The other campers and residents were also very pleasant, polite, and engaging. We’d also love to give a special shout out to this place as it is one of the few, if not the only place who still rents out tent sites making their amenities more affordable and accessible to all who may not be able to afford and enjoy the Keys otherwise. We already can’t wait to go back!! But we’ll definitely be staying longer next time!!

Key Largo Kampground checked all of our getaway boxes; very nice, clean quiet location. Our host for lot #49 was great!! Very nice spot. Enjoyed our morning coffee watching the sunrise each morning. Kayaks and bike rentals helped make our trip a winner!!

I wish I could give 0 stars. If you have a big rig, Do Not go here. This is an old campground will very narrow roads and difficult cuts. There are many permanent residents, and quite a few places are extremely run down. In addition the campground doesn't require owners to keep trees trimmed out of the roadway. This let to us being unable to get out without our awning catching a tree limb and being pulled off. There were kind people who assisted us but the campground only worried about getting us off the site. NEVER AGAIN!
