Customer Reviews
My husband and I stayed in a modern cabin here and had a wonderful getaway. This park has a nice 2.2 mile trail around the lake with a few other trails. There's great fishing and birdwatching. EV owners will find a level 2 J1772 charger at the boat launch.
It's very nice, very roomy and the area is beautiful! It's a great area to do outdoorsy activities.
We've taken the dog and grandkids and had a great time at Keystone! Bring food before the summer months, as the concession stand wasn't open until late May or Early June. When the weather is good, it gets crowded, but the staff handles it well, and most people are friendly.
Our family has rented 2 cabins at Keystone Lake every year for the past 7 or 8 years for our annual family get together - Even during the modified Covid accommodations. We were open to changes requested of us when one of our cabins was closed for an infestation issue in (I think it was) 2021. Un the past, we enjoyed the clean cabins and proximity to nature (including an abundance of poison ivy and invasive raccoons). However, this year, we were harassed during our stay. The rangers complained we has too many cars parked near the cabins, and we complied when we understood where we were to move the extra vehicles ( though our cars were not an issue in previous years, were not parked on any grass, nor were they blocking any access of the roadways.) We then were visited because of a "noise complsont" though we were quiet. (Many of us have small children who were asleep. Nobody wants to wake a sleeping baby!) The rangers threatened to "evict" us if they "have to come by our cabins again. Then they "randomly" patrolled no less than 4 additional times - Scoping out only OUR cabins and not stopping to complain about our neighbors' abundant cars - many parked on the grass. (We didn't wish the neighbors any ill, though, and certainly didn't complain or point out the inconsistency to our zealous rule enforcers ) The ranger even sat at the bottom of the drive, just staring at our cabins and our kids playing - which was quite uncomfortable, indeed. We felt SINGLED OUT. Lest you think we're a family of miscreants, I will point out we are a group of responsible, rule-abiding adults (including our 76 year old head of family and her 86 year old aunt) with respectful, controlled kids. Needless to say, we will move our family outing to another, more accommodating location from this point on. So long, Keystone. It's a shame your rangers were so prejudiced against us.
Love camping here, truck needed repair so couldn't haul camper, cabins and yurts are great!
