The environment at Kick Back N Camp is one of its most celebrated features. Guests can choose from spacious RV sites, some with ample lawn space, or opt for more secluded, wooded electric sites tucked into the trees for enhanced privacy and shade. The campground features a tranquil catch & release fishing pond on-site, adding a picturesque element and an opportunity for leisurely recreation. The surrounding area boasts the stunning natural beauty of West Virginia, with nearby attractions like Audra State Park, known for its scenic river and trails. The emphasis is consistently on creating a quiet and peaceful atmosphere, allowing campers to truly "kick back" and enjoy the sounds of nature. The overall impression is one of a well-kept, natural haven where guests can unwind and appreciate the tranquility of the West Virginia countryside, with excellent conditions for enjoying the various seasons.

Services: Thoughtful Amenities for a Comfortable Stay

As a dedicated establishment within the Campgrounds & RV Parks category, Kick Back N Camp offers a comprehensive range of services designed to enhance the comfort and convenience of its guests. The campground provides various site types to accommodate both RVs and tents:

  • RV Full Hook-Up Sites: These sites include water, 20/30/50 Amp electric service, and sewage hookup. They feature a picnic table, a fire ring with a cooking grate, and a trash can, all on a level two-lane gravel pad. Some full hook-up sites are shaded, while others offer generous lawn space.
  • RV Water & Electric Hook-Up Sites: These sites provide water and 20/30/50 Amp electric service, along with a picnic table, fire ring with cooking grate, and a trash can on a level two-lane gravel pad.
  • Wooded Electric Hook-Up Sites: Tucked into the trees for ample shade and privacy, these tent or camper sites include 20/30/50 Amp electricity, a picnic table, a fire ring with a cooking grate, and a trash can on well-graveled lots. Campers in these sites have access to the water filling station and dump station.

A highly praised service is the campground's bathhouse, featuring separate men's and women's sides, each equipped with four toilets, four showers, and three sinks. A dedicated ADA-compliant restroom, complete with a shower, toilet, and sink, further ensures accessibility. The cleanliness of these facilities is frequently highlighted in guest reviews, often described as being "better than my bathroom at home." A well-stocked camp store, named "Momma D's," allows campers to purchase essential supplies, including firewood and ice, without leaving the campground. Firewood and ice can also be delivered directly to campsites until 8 PM daily, a much-appreciated convenience. While the campground offers cellular service with all major carriers, it's important to note that it does not provide Wi-Fi, encouraging guests to truly unplug and connect with nature. A dump station is available on-site for RVs. We just spend a wonderful weekend here and it’s one of the best campgrounds we have been to! Super friendly and helpful team, fun activities if you want to join in, the sites are large and have room between each camper (a luxury compared to many campgrounds - you aren’t crammed in here!), the grounds are well kept, the fishing pond is beautifully manicured and the bath/shower house is spotless. We truly enjoyed our weekend!

Had a great experience at Kick Back. Bathhouse was very clean and owners were very friendly and helpful. A quick tip for those concerned about cell service, I had great service(Verizon) in the woods area but struggled to get solid signal when at the front of the property. Not a complaint but wanted to let future campers know when selecting a campsite.

If you're looking for an RV resort, this isn't a place for you. There's no pool, no miniature golf, no gocarts. What you will get at Kick Back N Camp is a serene lake for some catch and release fishing, camping opportunities ranging from primitive to full hookup, and some great trails to hike and explore. And you can camp for the night or the season. The bath house is the cleanest I have ever seen, and there's a camp store where you can get everything from coffee to hand dipped icecream and icees, along with a selection of things you may have forgotten at home. There is also a box full of games available for checkout if the weather isn't cooperating. The owners, Daniel and Maggie are present and engaged. There are chairs on the store front porch and there are always folks chatting and visiting. It's so quiet you can hear the birds and the rustle of the leaves. Yep, it's the perfect place to Kick Back N Camp.

Quite, friendly owners, gives Military 10% discount with Military ID, BUT, hooks would be nice in shower stalls to hang clothes. Has alot of geese poop on the grounds. We would return if we were traveling in the area.

My grandson had a great time riding his bicycle, there was plenty of room. He loves to fish so when he caught a large mouth bass that was at least 4 lb. out of the spacious pond his week was made 😂! Would suggest a pool but Audra State Park is only a couple miles away. We will definitely be back... Thanks For Having Us 😀!
