Nice lots. A bit small but they are flat. If you like hiking it's all right here in the park. Close to beach and the bay for day trips. The bath house while very clean ( team does a great job) I'm not to keen on the showers. No temp control on them. I have my dog with me, plenty of places to walk the dog!!
The park is a beautiful area for walking and relaxing. Unfortunately, many people come to have barbecues with large speakers and play very loud music. It's so loud that you can hear the noise from far away, which really takes away from the peaceful atmosphere.
The cabins were warm cozy and ready. We had an enclosed porch and fire pit. Peace, tranquill, and quiet plus just a 10-15 minute drive from any shop, market, and resturuant making needs conveniently accessible. Local residence were courteous, hard working people who always greeted us with a smile whenever we were in town. Neighbors at the campsite were also thoughtful, friendly, quiet. Only draw back is we never saw an employee nor representative of the site...perhaps it wasn't necessary. We appreciate where we stayed and look forward to starting a tradition here.
Our org just held an annual retreat at the Nature Center and really enjoyed the meeting space.
This is a lovely, well-maintained and free park in the winter months. I was here for a 24 hour race so experienced the ebb and flow of the bird sightings and sounds (geese never hit up); deer grazing and small mammal rustling as well as sunrise and sunset. I stayed in a cabin on the far side of the Pond side trail which was toasty warm
