Kings Family Campground

We came to visit our son and daughter in law last year and we feel in love with this camp site. Everyone was so friendly and we had a blast. We just purchased a trailer and will be on site for next year. Anna was very welcoming and helpful to us. She had the perfect site for us. Looking forward to next year.

This is a family-oriented campground. Quiet hours are strictly enforced, as are rules about upkeep, noise pollution, and landscaping. There is a well-stocked store and small ice cream shop on site. Holiday weekends are packed with activities and the beach is kept clean. Bingo on Friday nights is a very good time.

Really terrible customer service! I called just to ask a couple questions, first one being if they had tent sites on the property which was was quickly answered with no, so I said “Ok I guess that cancels the other questions, thank you!” they immediately hung up on me without saying anything. I mean atleast have the decency to say goodbye or have a nice day. I’m honestly glad they don’t have tent sites because I can only imagine how they would act in person.

I am a firm believer in you only get one chance to make a first impression and that of this place is not good. My family and I stopped in to take a look around as we recently purchased a new camper and were checking the few places in the area. I accidentally walked into the wrong door (apparently it was the store) and the two girls were very nice and pointed me in the right direction. I walked into the door labeled “office” and a hand was on immediately put up telling me “ can you wait so I can take care or someone else first”… how am I suppose to know the office was the size of a business trailer and only had one seat inside. I said no problem, sorry want waited in my car… (waiting for the woman that was in the office to leave) she never left… after a few mins I said never mind and put the car in reverse and that happened to be the time the woman came to the door and said “ are you all set”… Yes, I am indeed all set… She should be properly trained how to address the public as she was very rude… never got a chance to step foot on the property so I can’t really rate the facility fairly. I did see a camper with a bad roof and a tarp with blocks holding it down… didn’t look to appealing from the outside however I did see ALOT of other campers so it might very well be a nice place but we will not be coming back. Again, one chance to make a first impression and ya blew it

We just camped here for a long weekend. Thurs- Mon. The campground is right on the lake and is kept immaculate. There are many seasonal campers there that obvisously love the campground because they have made the most beautiful seasonal sites I have ever seen!! The beach and pavilion are kept very clean and most importantly every person we met there was extremely friendly and polite. The campground is quiet. There is no ruckus- no loud people. It is very dog friendly .There is a great playground near the beach area.And the bath houses were incredibly clean!!! There is pay showers which was surprising but quarters were left by them. The bathroom even smelled nice!! We have been camping for 30 years and this definitely one of the the nicest campgrounds we have been to!! When we are ready for a seasonal this is where we will go! And in the meantime we will be back!!
