Kings Landing is amazing. I rented a kayak and did the 8.5 mile run! It is beautiful! We saw gators and lots of birds and turtles! It was super easy o reserve and pay for the kayak online. The staff was super friendly and helpful! I did the first run in the morning and the river was not crowded until I got to the end of the run. I will definitely be back!
Very nice location to kayak, personal vessels are limited space so book online early, there is a small fee to used launch site. Kayak, canoe, paddle board rentals are their main business. We happen to go right after some large rains so the "Emerald Cut" was less than Emerald more murky. However, still a stunning tree lined canopy and senic paddle. Fun once we reached to top of the paddle area near Rock Spring head the water was sparkling clear and we saw River Otters enjoying the currents. Recommend this place but plan your trip here it can get full so making reservations is highly recommended during summer/high season especially weekends!
We rented a few kayaks and stand up paddle boards. We explored at our leisure. We saw turtles and gators and tarantula-big spiders! Very fun natural Florida experience!! You can bring coolers (no alcohol or glass).
Camped here and is was tranquil. No security though, anyone can come in or out the campground. No showers just outside wash off. Amazing spring Creek to paddle through. $50 - 4 hours.
Brought our own canoe and the nature part of it all was beautiful and great. The launch fee seems high - I wish the porta potties at least had restocked soap…not sure how long the outhouses have been out of order either. I also think the check in/waiver/holding your ID process could be a lot more efficient, updated, and organized.
