Nice campground we just spent the weekend there the people all was friendly. The sight was easy to get in and plenty space for the kiddos to play we will definitely be back. Didn't have time to make to the marina to check it out but we really enjoyed it here. Nice clean site
If I could I would give 10 🌟😃. The people here have been nothing but nice to my family and me. Most Marinas I have been to, aren't this nice and have the amenities the one does. This is a beautiful peaceful place.
I love the lake; however, I was treated very rudely by the campground host and did not feel welcome. It also seemed like the other campers at Ed Bottoms campground were a tight nit group and they did not want anyone new staying in their campground. I left a day early because of this and would recommend Lake Murphysboro State Park, which is just down the road, for camping near the lake. They are much more welcoming at the state park, and the campground there is terrific.
Disgusting boats and terrible customer service!!!The staff, particularly one of the owners (I believe his name was Agan), were completely unprofessional and unhelpful. We had called ahead a few times and got different answers from each employee. They don't even know their own policies! And then we didn't get a single apology from anyone working about the mistakes THEY made!! The boat we received was so so so gross-- the carpet was soaked with algae and looked like it had literally never been cleaned. The price was unreasonable for the service and the boat we received. #NEVERAGAIN
I understand the other bad reviews now. We were told we couldn't park our boat in the campsite like we have been doing for the last 6 years. We do not bring a camper, we tent camp in the electric campground to charge the boat batteries, use CPAP machines, etc. Explained that we didn't have a camper and we have lots of $$ in fishing gear in the boat, we are not ok with parking it off site. Got a wishy-washy story saying it was always a rule, then blamed it on new management, etc. This rule is NOT on the website. In the meantime, the campground was a madhouse. Cars parked everywhere, including in OUR site. Had to find the owners to move them. People blaring music and yelling at 2 am, amongst other things. All of which were rules being broken that ARE listed on their site. No one ever enforced these rules though. Reached out to them on their website explaining my frustrations and looking for an explanation, trying to give them a fair chance before I leave a review. Never got a response, so here I am. What a shame... We used to love this place.
