Nice park. Good location to explore Corner Brook and the greater area. Spacious, full hook-up, pull through sites with trees between sites. Quite a few seasonal campers, but that was no problem. Responsive, helpful staff. Laundry on site. We had site #2 - full service, pull-through.
It's a nice park! Lots of trees and a nice park! Clean bathrooms, showers, and laundry! The gate just isn't secured very well! And I haven't seen any stuff checking on anything! Can be a little noisey depending on who your neighbors are!!
We booked a site months in advance. upon arriving we told we were in site 10. Site 10 was occupied by someone who believed they were in site 8. Site 8 was also full. After waiting over 20 minutes back at the gate we were told we could park beside the washrooms, under the spotlights and they would run an extention cord to our 30 foot motor home and that was the best they could do as talking with the individual wrongfully in our pre booked and paid for site was going to be too uncomfortable for the park attendant. When I informed the attendant that we paid for a fully serviced site, not the lawn next to the washrooms and showers, I was informed that the best he could do was refund me money and I could leave. This is why we booked so far in advance? VERY POORLY RUN BUISNESS. AVOID IF YOU CAN.
The plus: close to Corner Brook. The minus: serviced sites are not so desirable. The ones with water and electricity are out in an open field, lined up. Many of the ones with full-service are cheek to jowl with a few trees in between. Some are better than others in terms of trees providing a modicum of privacy. Our site was dirty with litter and a messy fire pit. Apparently no one checks them between reservations. Unserviced sites, on the other hand, are nicely spaced and forested. Wish we had known in advance and booked there. Too bad there aren’t pictures and a map online so you can choose in advance.
It's in the process of being upgraded. I think it will be a fantastic spot on completion
