Kirklands Creek Campground and Cabins

Great experience!! Jason was very informative when I called to make our reservation, and he called the day of our arrival as he said he would just to get an idea of our arrival time. We called to let Jason know when we were a half our away as Jason requested, and when we arrived Jason was waiting at the entrance to make sure we made the turn in and crossed the bridge without issues. Jason navigated me backing into our site in the dark so that it only took the one try getting our trailer situated perfectly. Jason made sure we were well informed of the area and what there is to do, places to eat, etc. What impacted us the most was the atmosphere Jason has created. The campers are friendly and we felt like a part of the family while we were there. Jason even invited the entire campground to share a great bbq meal to celebrate his birthday. We look forward to going back, and highly recommend. Thank you Jason and Allison for being great hosts and making us feel welcome!

If you ever plan to camp in Western NC near Bryson City, Kirkland Campground is the place to go. The campground is always super clean and well kept. It is on a nice and peaceful country road. The owner is super helpful and will do anything to meet your needs. My family had car trouble and he went out of his way to take me to buy the parts and fix the vehicle for me. You don't get that kind of help from too many people any more. I will certainly make this my regular place to stay when I head to the NC mountains.

Still here but have to post what a nice place this is. Simple quiet clean. Mountain in the distance and a babbling creek right by the RV site. 10 minute drive to Bryson City and 20 minutes to the Smokies. Bathrooms clean and showers hot. Jason delivering wood to campsite. 👍 And a little camp kitty to keep you company. 10/10.

I have been coming to Bryson city for almost 50 years. Half of that was spent at this wonderful campground. Maybe 10 years ago it did have a little bit of a downfall because it was not taken care of by the owners at the time. Since Jason has come in, he has revamped what I consider my other home. But one thing has never changed is the feeling I get when I pull in there. Cool mornings and evenings. Small enough to pretty much let your children run as long as you can see where they are. The new pool is amazing and we were so excited last year when we were able to visit and jump in the pool again. We do not have a camper anymore, but when we still visit Bryson city every year, I wonder why anybody would stay at any other campground besides this one.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Kirkland Creek Campground is AMAZING! Peaceful atmosphere, calm surroundings with an owner who is awesome! I found this place on google and wanted to give it a try....SO extremely glad that I did. It is more like hanging out with family then anything else. Jason the owner is very personable and keeps the grounds so clean. Check in process is very simple and Jason is open and upfront about everything. No possibility of miscommunication. Mr. Tommy is the same way with helping out and being such a kind hearted person. They drive you directly to your site once you are all checked and will deliver your firewood directly to your site as well. The bath house is super clean with fabulous hot showers, the wash room is extremely clean and easy to access the sites have power and water if you need it and sewer hookup for campers too. It was the best find that I could have found for my family to enjoy some time away from home. Cannot wait to go back to see Jason, Mr. Tommy, cheese the duck and all the other critters and people who come to visit!

We stayed to celebrate our brother and sister in law’s anniversary as well as ours. What a great spot and super host. The place is relaxing and Jason the owner was more than great. He even offered to let our little dogs out for a break while we were gone. Hard to beat that!!! Thanks and we will be back.

I didn’t actually get to stay here but I’m giving the place all the stars that I can and I’ll tell you why. Jason is incredibly engaging and easy to talk to about pretty much anything. All of us got into fairly deep conversation about personal topics that I found personally helpful. Even if I don’t get to stay in my RV here, I’ll be eyeing a cabin stay for a weekend for sure. The passion and level of humility he shows is undeniably appreciated all while also keeping a level of professionalism. He was even willing to move his RV if it meant we could stay and not interfere with anyone else’s space. That’s saying something! We appreciate your time, sir! It meant the world.

Owner was great. Gave us free eggs!! Campground was super nice and bathrooms were extremely clean. Enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back. Thanks so much.
