Kitchigami

First year in the park. Extremely nice and surprisingly quiet compared to others. Owners are friendly are the rules are pretty standard as they come. My only issue is distance from amenities as I'm used to being in-town parks but not really a major concern. Beach is beautiful and private and a short walk from Goderich (roughly 5km).

We love Kitchigami Family Campground. It is a small park that has a lovely private beach. We feel extremely fortunate to have a getaway on beautiful Lake Huron. Goderich and Bayfield are just 10 minutes away. I think that the stunning sunsets and moonsets and privacy make this place one of the very best on Ontario's West Coast. We have gotten to know the owners over the years and really appreciate the hard work that they put in to keep the park looking great.

We purchased a park model in this park at the end of last year, we are more than happy with this park. Everything is kept very clean, thanks to Peter (the owner) and we find everyone friendly. It is a quiet campground, just what we wanted. Our beach is incredible and the sunsets are spectacular.

Unfriendly, unwelcoming, not kid friendly. Don't now where the reviews are coming from. This park is the farthest thing from friendly. If you are a guest or newcomer, you are not welcome. All parks have rules, but this one is over the top with restrictions. Beach is rocky, trek down to beach is not suitable for elderly at all. The water is great but you can get that anywhere along the lake. And don't you dare make ANY noise, not even child's play. I watched a 30 people at the park pig roast, all sit and stare at each other not making a sound. No one talks, cracks a smile or says hello. It's a very strange park, it's like the movie "Stepford Wives" the seasonal people, just something isn't right here.

This is our third summer in the park and we love it! There is a simplicity to this park minus the fanfare of swimming pools, mini golf, zooming golf carts and wild parties. Location is perfect between Bayfield for boutique shopping and dining and Goderich for everything else that Bayfield doesn't provide. This area along Lake Huron is on the bluffs so access to the beach requires a walk down a path or stairs and a hike back up. The beach is beautiful and we feel like we are on vacation every time we walk it, sit by it, watch the sunsets and swim. The park is small, peaceful, well groomed and the serenity it provides is appreciated by all. We are so grateful for our place by the lake, the owners who maintain the park and the friendships we have made.
