I visited a friend who lives off a narrow road, deep in the wilderness but only a few miles from the national forest. I've never felt more connected to the serene quiet and beauty. Photos don't do the picturesque views justice. I could live here.

Very beautiful scenery...and easy-to-find places to camp if you're feeling adventurous, and quaint little places to shop and grab a bite to eat/drink. Still a little cold, though.

I visited Kangaroo Lake for a picnic and to watch the Northern Lights. I enjoyed the picnic and the view of the lake, but clouds prevented any view of the sky. I may visit again when I'm in the area on vacation.

We drove to the north shore of Lake Siskiyou. Beautiful day! There's a path for walking, running, or biking around the lake, a boat launch, and a great picnic area...even restrooms!
