The campground host was very welcoming and informative. They keep it clean and nice there, I would highly recommend it!
Love this place except on holiday weekends. Can get overwhelming and packed. But any other time it has been wonderful. The good thing is, if the campsite gets filled, there is lots of primitive camping sites along the forest roads. The lake it beautiful and we love bringing our kayak here. Lots of elk sightings in this area.
One of the best sites I've camped at so far. It is rocky as heck so make sure to bring a sturdy truck, 4x4, AWD or any of the kind. There is a picnic table at each site, a bathroom, and the lake is about half a mile up the road. For sure you might see deer and such. A worthy place to spend a weekend!
What an amazing location!!! No cell reception which is perfect!!! Loved being able to disconnect and relax! Super friendly and helpful camp hosts. We where the fist ones here this season. No running water so bring plenty. Clean camp grounds with plenty of great spots. $14.00 per night cash for single site and 28 per night for a double spot. I will be back for sure!
Went up there Sept. 22 - 24. Camp ground was very nice and clean. Ranger drove through was super friendly and answered some questions I had. Spaces were plenty big and had a nice concrete picknic bench a large fire pit and BBQ. The lake was a little less than a mile down the road. There is NO camping by the lake. And when we were there the lake was real low. We will return.
The good: beautiful, quiet, remote, CLEAN outhouses, no wifi. The bad: Be prepared to drive an hour after the pavement ends if your pulling a camper. No store. Cash only. Lake was beautiful but about 20 foot low. The ugly: Absolutely nothing. Thank you T and Art!.... We definitely should have not left early! 😕
T and Art were the best hosts! Such a lovely visit to this campground! The bathrooms were so clean, the campsite so well maintained and so quiet and peaceful! Thank you so much!!
We, T and Art (TArt), will be hosting Knoll Lake Campground this year.(See Facebook page Knoll Lake Campground Arizona). This will be our 5th summer camphosting. We previously have hosted Rock Crossing Campground and The 9350 Campground in the Sitgreaves Forest. Those who have camped with us know that we are chill, and focus on relaxation and enjoyment of the forest. We are often mentioned in past reviews of our previous campgrounds. Knoll Lake Campground is by far the most beautiful campground that we have ever been to. Here are some pics. Follow on Facebook page Knoll Lake Campground Arizona for availability info, weather updates, and more.
We loved our time at the Knoll Lake Campground the hosts Art And T were absolutely amazing! Very friendly, helpful and personable! The restrooms were very clean and smelled fresh. They were cleaned twice a day and the cleanest campground restrooms we have ever seen! If you visit, reach out to the hosts and invite them to dinner. They are wonderful people!!
I will definitely return. That said, I am not a fan of campgrounds, however the husband and wife camp host were amazing and made our visit remarkable. Extremely comfortable and very clean camp grounds. Should you decide to make the trip, no disappointments whatsoever. Enjoy!
