We loved staying here! We were tenting and the host, Chris, helped us pick the best grassy spot with shade and privacy, but close to the playground and bathrooms. Showers were hot, recently renovated and good water pressure. Nice store with free coffee and microwave and various snacks and free wifi/phone charging spot. We would come back just for the amazing hospitality!
All the amenities. Laundry, washrooms, 30 amp power, water, sewer, wifi. Nice quiet location only 12 minutes from downtown Kamloops. Neighbours were all pretty friendly. Lots of long term campers at the site.
Clean facilities, full hook-ups through to dry camping sites, washrooms, showers and laundry. Also has limited wifi, but if you stream movies have your own wifi.
Our initial greeting was; "we are at war with dog owners" If your dog is seen off the leash you will be evicted immediately." Constant early morning traffic as the majority of the campers are permanents. Many of which drive big noisy diesel trucks. You won't need an alarm clock. Host was not friendly, photo is of our neighbor on one side.
This was probably the worst campground we stayed in across 2 weeks travelling across Canada. It just needed a bit of TLC really. We arrived at 8:00pm without a reservation so were naturally thankful to have somewhere to stay for the night. Staff friendly, but offered us only a basic site right near the river (so absolutely tons of flies) whereas there was a site with electricity available which we had asked for. We waited a couple of hours and spoke to another staff member later on who happily moved us. All quite strange. There was also signs up about a contaminated water supply that would need to be boiled before consumed. Not great. Coin operated showers. Warm. Toilet facilities were pretty old, defo in need of a refurb. It served it's purpose for the night we needed but glad we weren't staying there for any longer given that water situation!
