Absolutely stunning campground. Seriously a gem that is super close to Zion National Park. You climb up in elevation so the weather at the campground is so much more manageable than if you were to camp down in the National Park. Our camp host was very friendly and welcoming and made sure we had everything needed. My only problem was that there is only one vault toilet and it's technically not even in the campground. There are portable toilets, but those are also at the very edge of the campground. It would be nice if another toilet could be put in, or even a couple portable toilets around the campground.

Many large campgrounds on the shore. Lake was nice and calm. 76 degree water in August. I brought a wet sit and had fun swimming. Camp fire restrictions are a pain. Dog friendly.

The camp staff were amazing and the site is so beautiful! Lots of trees and a view of Kolob Reservoir. It's a short drive to access some incredible Zion hikes, and the drive up meanders in and out of the park. Sites are somewhat small, and the camp is crowded in the summer, but overall, this is a fantastic place to camp.

So me and my family of 4 just came back from camping. At first we were confused because we drove into the "hip campground" area thinking that's where we reserved our #4 spot but turns out we needed to drive further deep in to the reservoir for the site we reserved. For the hip camping, everyone is super close to each other, so there is not a lot of privacy. The reservoir camping is much more spacious. Sites 1-6 you drive past hip campground and for sites 7-43 you go the the right when you first enter the reservoir. I feel like this is very important info to save you time and the hassle of figuring out where you're going. I was also not a big fan of the pit toilets because they weren't too clean. The bigger sites over on the right side (7-43) have porta poties and I was told by a friend that they had just been changed out and were clean. Apart from this, I would definitely come back (maybe on a warmer day). My family enjoyed the peacefulness and they want to come back. We're already talking about buying more camping stuff! It's definitely freezing at night so plan accordingly. Sometimes having lots of blankets will not suffice so we will bring a heater next time. The sites have no table, just an area where you can start a bonfire (make sure to check fire restrictions when you arrive). Our neighbors were very nice so it made our stay even more welcoming! All in all it was beautiful and worth coming down to check it out! We will come back next time more prepared! Also made me want to purchase a kayak! Our son used our friend's kayak and he enjoyed it.

Tent camping. Couple outhouse. Nice area though. Good for picnics. Family outing. Strict fishing rules.
