probably one of the best campsites in the area. it was clean, had great wonderful bathrooms and showers. no drinking water but i loved hearing the ocean nearby and being able to cook meals with the amazing grill!!
The Best location for the family. Clean restrooms, hiking trails, wonderful view, and secluded.
Great group campground. There is ample parking for your group. There are flushing toilets, sinks, and showers. You can hear the waves from the two camp elevations; and can see the ocean. There was hot water when we were there in October 2023. There are a lot of mosquitos, but you are in the woods. One negative is that there is no cell service fro Verizon, T-mobile. There may be one bar for At&t at the parking lot.
It’s a very nice and quiet place, unfortunately it has not been taking good care of, as the mosquitos there are insane, millions mosquitos can almost kill you. Also no hot water for the shower.
I came here as part of a Boy Scout outing and I must say it was quite nice. There was plenty of room for several tents and a picnic area complete with tables and a water faucet. You do have to keep an eye out for the local wildlife as we found a nice sized rattlesnake eating rats by the tables but the rangers were able to come by to chase it off. My one complaint is that the showers didn't have hot water but at least they were free of charge. The beach is just one mad dash across the PCH just mind the traffic. I would for sure come back with the troop.
