Great welcome entry from such a nice personable host and his son, Daren. Everything was explained so well, paperwork was completed quickly and efficiently. Very inviting to ask questions. I really appreciated the time they took to provide useful information to me as I stood at the window getting my windshield decal for the full October thru April season. Who doesn't appreciate personable yet professional customer service with a smile after all? Thank you for being such pleasant welcoming faces to start my winter home base. Very clean vault toilets, amenities explained and general housekeeping info to make things easier. You are Appreciated!!! Five Star Service⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Please read all of this. Our second time here, it’s a large area of wilderness to camp in. They do have restrooms at the entrance but, no showers. Potable water and dumping are available. Please be aware and clean the spigots before use. We’ve seen people putting their mouths on their hoses to blow out water, a dead rat on the ground in water people drag their drinking hoses through and today a lady letting her dog slobber all over one. Thank God the rangers were there, she went off on us, she got lippy with them about it too. Clean the nozzle for your heath. It’s very dusty and dry with many ATV’s exploring the area. Lots of pets too that are leashed and gratefully not much barking. The views are excellent. extremely busy at this time of events occurring.
Great level, wide open desert where you can be as close or a far too you friends &/or neighbor campers. People camp bets in anything from a tent, car, van, rvs and everything up to half a million dollar set ups. Everyone leaves you alone unless you want company & they're plenty of people to talk to. Quite hrs are like ever government land being 10pm, but some groups you'll hear doing music or karaoke till nearly midnight every week, so chose your camp site accordingly. If they're a sign made for a camp area, it's probably going to be loud so pick accordingly. There are lots of fun circles you can hear at different times which is usually near a they're typically respectful & stop by 10. We've camper here 2 seasons, not the whole season, but always had fun & enjoyed the dark skies & stars.
Very helpful folks, and knowledgeable about the area. 4 welcome centers available. One closed 2 days at a time. An American flag will fly at the open welcome centers.
In the 2024-2025 season, it was $180 USD for six months. There is a sewer dump spot with potable water.
