La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Colorado Springs Garden of the Gods

It could have been great. The room was spacious, and the bed was comfortable. However, the shower was lukewarm at best. I asked for a late check out when I checked in and was told no problem. Starting at 11:00 am, while I was working on an online exam, I was harassed relentlessly to leave.

DO NOT stay at this hotel until you have read the numerous, horrid, reviews. We arrived in the afternoon, without a reservation, as we were unsure where we would stop on the trip. My wife asked if they had two rooms and they did. She gave them out card and the charged both rooms AND a $100 deposit per room. She went to the room while I parked the car. People in the parking lot were very sketchy (and it was still light out). All rooms have outside doors-FYI. She opened the door and looked inside and immediately said we weren't staying here. The room smelled. There was a recently plastered over hike in the bathroom. She immediately went back to the front desk and was told there would be a " cancellation fee" for the reference she made less than 5: minutes ago and it would be several days until the charge was refunded. I told him there would be no cancellation fee or we could being the police over and discuss fraud. While we were not charged the cancellation fee, one week later we are still awaiting a $177; refund. This is a dirty, unsafe hotel with unscrupulous management. STAY AWAY. Quality Inn is just across the highway for the same price, clean, safe, with friendly staff.

The hotel is not accurately described and pictures don’t match the rooms. There was feces on the shower curtain and blood on the nightstand. The heater didn’t hardly blow hot air so the room was really chilly. I never turned the cold water on in the shower and it was lukewarm at best (really nice for it being snowy outside). The shower floor was literally moving as I walked around in it getting showered. The front desk guy yelled at me for changing rooms although I didn’t as I was in classes all day… my key card didn’t work so they had to get me a new one. The only thing nice about it was the bed was comfortable. If I could give negative stars I would.

28 Dec 2024, was the day we checked in and we had requested rooms to be adjoining as our sons would be in the next room. Called when we made the reservation and they assured us that they would be able to fulfill the request. Upon arrival the clerk tells us that he does not have adjoining rooms available, minor inconvenience but not deal breaking yet. Get into the room and the floor was dirty, the television was haphazardly hung on the wall, all the furniture was in one corner as if they were going to remodel possibly and the coup de grace is this marvel pictured with this review. As for the reasons we could not have adjoining rooms was because the rooms next to ours and with the adjoining door were not cleaned. The sheets had been pulled off partially and the rooms looked to be filthy from the exterior window. TLDR: Quality and service has gone down exponentially in the last few years and I would not recommend this to anyone. Definitely not even worth the cheap rates.

Maribel is very disrespectful. She is part of the morning staff. The rooms look nothing like the pictures AT ALL. the main staff seems unaware of all Wyndham rewards and how it works for deserving guest. House keeping isn't doing their job AT ALL. Our stay was more inconvenient than relaxing. You don't get your money's worth. Staff is incompetent often and rude. They are not accommodating. They also let staff go home early before their job is done leaving the guest without service,etc! They have no respect for military veterans. I am appalled to say the least this was a terrible experience that I did not deserve. Terrible customer service and dishonest staff. Be careful with your deposit they do not give receipts which gives off a scam.i amount taking legal action about this facility and my case personally... God knows.
