La Quinta Inn by Wyndham North Myrtle Beach

I will stay again. I stayed here 2 times in the summer of 2024 and it was fine for the price and dog friendly. The room and bed were clean, the floors are new vinyl wood not carpet so it was cleaner. The location was where I wanted to be for access to the beach, golfing, all the shopping you want. It's quiet sitting off the highway and the room was quiet. There is a grass area behind the hotel for pet walking and I felt safe walking at night. The location also offers an easy rear exit on Old Hwy 17.

My son and I stayed at this hotel and brought our dog along with us while searching for a new home in the area. We expected it to be a night or two and ended up spending about 6 or 7 nights there all together. All of the staff was warm and inviting, and made us feel like they truly cared about us and about making our stay as enjoyable as possible during such a stressful time. The front desk staff were great, especially Claudia, who after the first two nights always greeted me by name and said how much she appreciated us. Housekeeping and what I believe to be maintenance staff were also very pleasant. The rooms (we had three different ones) were clean and neat and anytime I asked for anything extra, I was met with a smile and it taken care of immediately. For such a reasonably priced hotel, we got the service of a much more expensive facility. Breakfasts each morning were more than sufficient and the items meant to be hot were hot, and the cold items were cold. I would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to anyone looking for a reasonably priced hotel that makes you genuinely feel welcome (dog and all).

The moment I walked in, Claudia was so welcoming. Our room was very nice. They were accommodating in providing us extra blankets and pillows. The free breakfast had something for everyone and the staff kept it stocked. I would definitely stay here again. Restaurants in walking distance. Lots of shopping around the area.

The rooms are nice, Claudia and Sophia were just wonderful, very accommodating. The area is nice with shopping and restaurants are just across the street. The ocean is a very short 5 minute drive. We will definitely stay again!

This place deserves 0 stars. I'm only giving a 1 star because the GM and her daughter was lovely. This place is honestly filthy. It smelled like cigarettes as soon as you walk into the lobby. The rooms were pretty dirty and had a very strong bleach/cleaning solution smell to it. The carpet and floors felt sticky and just disgusting like it hasn't been cleaned in years. On top of all of this I had to pay a $15 early check in fee which is ridiculous and unheard of! Definitely a first and last for me. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone!
