La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Bowling Green

After a 10 hour travel day and no reservation, we arrived in Bowling Green Kentucky around 8:30 pm. We were cheerfully greeted by Jackie who welcomed us and our young puppy to the property. She was absolutely amazing. Our check in was swift and without incident. Our room was clean and comfortable. Just what we needed after such a long day. Thank You!

Fairly recent remodel (visited 3-16-25). Nice staff. Needed a plunger, had one readily available. Offered 3 room keys. 3 adult family trip. Walking distance to waffle house, Cracker barrel, Hardee's. Several gas stations. Across the highway had even more places to eat. In house breakfast was pretty good. Indoor pool looked refreshing but did not use.

We were super happy with our stay at La Quinta. It’s not the most up to date hotel, but that didn’t bother us. Shower was hot, room smelled clean and fresh when we walked in, kids had a blast in the pool, bed was comfortable, the lobby was inviting and they even offered fresh cookies! We stayed as a team and they gave us a EXCELLENT group rate. Plus it was located near multiple restaurants. I would definitely recommend!

I checked in around midnight and there was a very unwelcoming and frankly quite rude tall man with glasses working the front desk. His attitude was deplorable. Then to top it off my room key wouldn't work 3 times and we never could get the heat on after calling down for help multiple times and him not trying to help at all. Just so rude!!! If I hadn't paid for the reservation online I would have demanded my money back and left. We ended up staying until about 630 am, freezing, and he was still down there at the desk watching cartoons, unfriendly as ever when we walked out. He never even looked up at us when I laid the key down to check out so I just walked away. We always stop here on our way to Florida (4 times a year!), but I think I'll book elsewhere when we come back next month. Where did all the good employees go?

I have stayed in a few La Quinta's in my past and have always thought highly of them. This was the first time I was very disappointed. The appliances were god awful (including the TV). The pillows were insanely small and not enough. There was a huge gap between our door and the hallway so even if a whisper from the outside or rooms across the hall sounded like they were in my room. The pool was disgusting and kids were running wild in there jumping and splashing everywhere to the point my kid could not go in. The only good thing was the location, it was located around everything you could possibly need.
