Room was dirty and in disrepair. When we checked in they needed a 150.00 deposit that wasn’t disclosed prior to check in. They authorized my card for 300.00 the moment we checked in and, surprise, charged for smoking in the room. From my experience and from other reviews, perhaps they should invest these ill gotten gains in properly upkeep and cleanliness. I’ve worked in hospitality for many years and know that inexpensive does not have to be gross. There are many competing hotels in the area and I would suggest you stay at any other one. Expensive and very disappointing.

It started off decent. But as days went on it became increasingly different. The whole place smelled like smoke. Very very sketchy people Coming in and out. There was no security whatsoever. And on the last day they charged over $800 in smoking fees even though none of us smoke!! Then as we try to talk With the front desk they keep trying to make you at fault and wouldn’t even come to check the smell of our rooms to see if we are smoking. Then as we try to defend ourselves the front desk women kept threatening to kick us out and not give the cooperations number or anything. When we wanted the boss she said to call the front desk of the hotel. Then she calls the cops on us saying we are being “threatening” and to have us escorted out. All we wanted was the truth and honesty but they gave us nothing. Instead they kept giving me and my family random charges even after we had left the state!! I am not one to write reviews ever. In fact this is my first. So it takes a lot for me to write one. This place needs to be shut down ASAP. It is dangerous and the people at the front try to scam you for everything you have and threaten you if you want proof. Please stay somewhere else, just around this same location there is 3 other hotels. Definitely choose the other ones. They will also try to keep the deposits on the rooms and claim damage when there is none.

Location is great but that's the only positive aspect of this rundown property. Third floor wreaks of stale cigarette smoke, despite "No Smoking" policy of the property. There were strands of hair on the top sheet of the second bed. In-room coffee is absolutely horrible. The door handle doesn't fit securely with the strike plate. Hotel was quiet at night but very loud during the day once other guests were awake. The side entrance to the facility has a door that is very difficult to close-it has to be shoved (HARD) to close it and once it's closed, the card key reader doesn't work. So the door was left ajar with it's sign that boasts how "secure" the property is. But we only wanted a place to crash after a New Year's Eve party and we got what we paid for. But I probably won't reserve at this hotel again. The state of the property reflects how much ownership does not care especially from a safety aspect where that side entrance is concerned.

This is the WORST hotel experience I've EVER had! The stay started out normal. Then the next day turned terrible. I stated we would stay two nights. We came back the next day after work, and they had our room cleared out and cleaned and had taken everything personal that we had in there. The front desk lady (I don't remember her name, but she's in her 50s or 60s, short, older and heavy set with short hair) is very rude! She didn't take my drivers license info correctly, and she didn't show the details of our stay and tried to tell us that we didn't stay and that the room we booked from HER wasn't booked the previous night. We finally got our belongings back after a brief argument after she found my info that SHE herself entered incorrectly. One of our bags had everything in it, and the other bag didn't have anything in it. The housekeeper had stolen something VERY important from the other bag, and the front desk lady said I could contact the general manager if I wanted to get it back. The thing is, I know it's something that the housekeeper wouldn't admit to stealing, so it isn't even worth me trying. If you'd like to stay and have your personal belongings taken, I do recommend staying there. If you don't want your personal belongings stolen, I highly recommend that you choose a different hotel to stay at.

It's actually been a while I'm late posting this. Homeless live and roam the parking lot. We had the battery stolen out of our trailer. Broke the box and stole the battery. Hotel said it's "public parking lot" and they can't do anything about it. He was nice enough at the front desk but had no power to help. Breakfast bar same - homeless just walking in and take all the food. Stayed up all night the 2nd night watching my rig through the window. Room was alright for a super 8 but price a bit high. I know that's a city problem, but this location and La Quinta should put up a fence and do some security. Even just basic put a cop camera on the lot.
