Jason at the front desk was really friendly and helpful! I arrived without a reservation, and he got me checked into a nice king room in just a few minutes. Fast check-in with no waiting. Awesome! Thanks Jason! The hotel was not far off the highway, yet I didn't hear road noise overnight. And free breakfast was tasty. It may be pet friendly but I'm not sure. I thought I heard a dog in a nearby room, but maybe? The room bed was really comfy, there was a nice big mini-fridge freezer, and a good tv. I took off one star for the room because there was no fan in the bathroom, and the thinnest toilet paper ever, otherwise it would have been 5 stars for the room too. I'd stay here again for sure.
I don’t typically leave reviews for hotels because I just sleep and leave but this was bad. It was late in the evening, grabbed my keys and headed to my room. Front desk said “press zero if you need anything.” I get in my room and first thing there are stains everywhere. Whatever. I dress down and go to turn the tv on. There’s no remote. So I go to call the desk. There is no phone. I’m tired so I figure I’ll go to bed. Go to the thermostat and it doesn’t work. I find the manual one on the unit just to hear this thing rattling like it blew a piston. I wake up to security knocking on every door at 5 am… so I get up. I go to get ready in the bathroom… none of the outlets work. Finally on my way out (I left before breakfast because I couldn’t stay any longer), I see that the side door is busted and anyone can enter the building. 0/5 don’t recommend
The nighttime staff that checked me in were very friendly and wonderful, but that's where the positive ends. During my stay, I noticed black mold in my room. When I tried to contact La Quinta about it, asking for a refund due to the health hazard that black mold poses (which seems highly reasonable considering their parent company, Wyndham, seems to be doing pretty well in the stock market the past several years), all I got was a canned 'Thanks for your feedback.' response. When I attempted to escalate, sending them the pictures I took, I got no response. Ignoring a serious health hazard complaint is not only highly unprofessional, but dangerous to their guests. I'd also like to add that I had some travel companions in another room, and they noted that the sliding glass door in their room that went to the outside courtyard didn't fully close. So not only is this place a health hazard, but it is also a safety hazard. La Quinta used to be a solid hotel experience ten years ago where I knew I could reliably take my pets with me, be comfortable, and not have to worry about health and safety hazards. Ever since they got acquired up by Wyndham, most of their hotels have greatly gone downhill. So disappointed.
Friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean. Hotel problems I think are in outdated rooms. AC/Heat not functioning, closet hangers ajar, closet door is broken and stuck. Hotel room (228) door is missing the security lock, TV screen is not clear, the cable service is spotty. Oh and the coffee maker did not work. I think management should re-evaluate conditions of their rooms. Update and provide basic maintenance. Pricing was fair and competitive. One cool thing is you get 10% off at the steakhouse next door, connected to hotel.
Everything was great and the breakfast was pretty good! The only thing was the sofa bed was all goofy luckily we didn't need it. The exterior doors would not allow you to enter bc the key card device was damaged.
