Stop here for lunch on our way to Banff. Not one person was around. The toilets are locked tho. The pit ones are available. No campers. Very peaceful Lake. Looks like a very popular spot in the summer. The water looked jumping with fish. Had our lunch and bounced.
Was pleasantly surprised with this campground. It was clean, people were very respectful of garbage and the shared toilets..... OMG, the toilets flushed!!! My only complaint would be the lots are very rocky, so it was almost impossible to peg our tent down. Also, if you're planning on sharing a site with friends, make sure to double-check the lot as our was too small and a 3rd of our tent hung over the ledge (this was totally our mistake) We were told we had to pay for a second vehicle. However, we did not have to pay upon registering. I'm not sure if this was a one-off or something they do if the campground isn't too busy, but it was a nice surprise. The beach area was gross, however, just full of goose poop (I don't know if this is to be expected). However, we did not stay at the beach for more than 15 minutes. Was very family orientated, didn't hear anybody partying, or getting super loud & drunk despite seeing LOTS of people drinking. So that was a huge bonus. The kids' playground was ok. Be prepared to bring a towel or something for the kids to sit on as the slides are both metal. This is our first time camping with our children (8 years old and twin 6 year old), and we will absolutely be camping here again. 4 out of 5 stars 🌟
Very nice. The park is well served. There are areas for camping, playing, swimming, and kayaking, or rest and enjoy the magnificent scenery of nature. There are plenty of picnic tables. You can barbecue in it.
Been here paddleboarding a few times and have always enjoyed it. The parking is well situated to the lake, making it easy to take boards from the car to the water and back again. Washrooms/changing area are clean
Lovely campsite! No clean running water and some leeches by the boat dock. Still swimmable 🤗
