Ladybug Campground is a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Pomeroy, WA, offering campers a tranquil retreat surrounded by nature's beauty. This charming campground is part of the Campgrounds & RV Parks category, providing a welcoming space for outdoor enthusiasts seeking adventure and relaxation.
Set on NF-4712, Ladybug Campground offers plenty of room for tents and RVs, with ample shade from its many trees. The site's serene atmosphere is perfect for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life while enjoying the great outdoors. With only 7 sites available, Ladybug ensures a peaceful experience even during peak seasons.
The campground's small size and limited sites contribute to its peaceful ambiance. Even during peak weekends, the number of campers remains low, maintaining a quiet environment ideal for rest and relaxation. Weekend stays are particularly pleasant due to this exclusivity.
For those planning a visit, Ladybug Campground is ideal for nature lovers and families seeking an unhurried outdoor experience. This camp ground has lots of room and also many shade trees. It's near several hiking trails, you can hike 20 miles per day.
Nice, small, quiet campground. Arrived early on a Friday (Sept. 15) and there was only one other space occupied. A few more showed up later, but even with only 7 sites it didn’t fill. No potable water, though there is a creek nearby. Vault toilet was fine, no issues. Saturday night was the same - not full, pretty quiet. Very pleasant stay!
Restroom available in campground, several firepits available for use and different types of wood are just lying around if you are willing to do some sawing of fallen logs. There are four different areas to camp at and some are farther off the beaten path and offer a good bit of privacy. We had lots of fun and if you ask at the last resort store or at the ranger station you can learn about the location of the water fall nearby.
One of my favorite Tucannon Campsites. Away from the crowds, especially if you can get in the back. The road up there however is very rough and after a good rain there are very large and deep puddles. Early season bring a saw to make sure you can get in and out. There is very little opportunity to turn around. One pit toilet that has always been clean and fully stocked serves the camp. Cost is $8 per day. The setting is along the Tucannon River but fishing is not allowed. It is a couple more rough miles to the Tucannon River Trail which is a pleasant, mostly flat walk in its entirety. At the trailhead is also a 1 mile side trail to Sheep Creek Falls. (Look for the fallen tree with chainsaw writing on it just before crossing the bridge) Awesome hike if you are up for it but be advised the trail becomes fairly sketchy/damaged/slick after about a half mile.
