This was our stop before getting to the Grand Canyon the following day on our October road trip. It was fall so off season. I have to say there was no way I would walk to the restooms on my own without my husband. It was very scary in the sense that it was very dark, minimal lighting and at the time not many occupants. I cannot recall if the bathroom was heated at the time, and possibly not however not a huge deal. I just didn't like that there was no lock unlike other campgrounds where normally there is a code to access which made me feel so much more secure. This was not the case and I was concerned for my safety. The nice part was that we met a Veteran and had a really cool chat with him as he was walking his doggo. Super friendly and he shared some great stories. There is a funny smell in the air you will notice. Since the camp is next to a Zoo? The Veteran shared he saw tigers etc. Seems cool.

Have stayed here a couple of times. Just reserved for another month next season. The seasonal people are fantastic and are always welcoming. Brenda and Gary keep the grounds immaculate.

Thank You so much for your accommodations when our pickup needed work while we were staying at your campground. We appreciate your thoughtfulness and kindness. We did figure out the bus and trains so we were able to see more of your beautiful area while we were there for our extended time.

Though the location is great, the weather was really not that great the weekend that we decided to stay here. The night was in the 40s, and majority of the campsites are in really shady spots. So it ended up getting cold really early in the night and it stayed cold all night. One other thing that I will say I don’t really love the bathrooms, when you go into the bathroom stalls, the door hardly lets you get in before you hit the toilet. I don’t understand why they built it that way. It’s really hard to close the door behind you.also the bathrooms where they have showers were freezing cold, and they did not have any heaters going.
