This is a great place to camp, I am working out here this summer... but the grounds are gorgeous. It's cold at night though.

i have been going to the lair since i was a baby and it is amazing. i have amazing friends, who i can’t wait to see every year. we get to do activities such as kayaking, tie dye, have campfires, tell scary stories, play disco bingo, go to movies at the lake, horseback riding, swim, play in the creek, create skits (or do anything you want) for the talent show, archery, hike, play and watch sports, just hang out with friends and much more all week! there are so many activities to do all day long, so you never get bored! the lair is definitely one of my favorite places and i highly recommend it for all families with kids of all ages! also, GOLD CHEATS

What's with all the negativity and conspiracy theories. Some people just don't like to have a good time - or for others to have a good time. I'm with Adam on this one. I've been going to the Lair pretty much every year since I was a kid - which is a very long time. I now go to "Camp for Grown-ups" the last week of the season and it's as much fun as ever. ALL of the services and activities are great, not to mention the food, which is fabulous (at least at Club Lair, as we fondly call it). There are well-trained paramedics available 24/7 and there is a fabulous hospital right down the hill in Sonora. Since it's camp, of course it's a bit dusty and the beds aren't the greatest, but that's why many of us bring our futon mattresses along. It's also gorgeous; trees everywhere, Pinecrest Lake, amazing hiking, etc. As for the staff, I've never know them to be anything but fabulous; helpful, energetic and a lot of fun. Yes, they like to party (rather common for college kids, I believe), but I've never known it to interfere with their jobs. The campers like to party, too!! Going back for my 25th time (more or less) the last week in August. Can't wait!!

Just finished week 4, first Lair visit. Amazing! Kids 5 & 9 did horseback riding, archery, pool time, exploring, kayaking, creek exploring, and paddle boating at the lake. I did naps, pool, paddle boarding, kayaking, yoga, walk to the lake, tie-dye shirts, acrylic painting and ceramics. They were generous and offered vegan foods for my diet restrictions. Had a guitar lesson, met new friends in Oski's cabin circle. Son said he loved the camp! Carnival on Sunday was lots of fun, bounce houses and face painting. So many activities! Staff was super friendly and professional.
