Laird Park Campground Introduce

Welcome to Laird Park Campground, situated at 1101 Palouse River Rd, Harvard, ID 83834. As a part of the Campgrounds & RV Parks category, Laird Park offers a camping experience alongside the Palouse River.

Environment: Laird Park Campground is located by the water, offering opportunities for enjoying the river. One visitor described having a "blast" with "ice cold" water and hot sun, suggesting it can be a pleasant place to cool off during warm weather and potentially suitable for families with children. However, it's worth noting that the closest fishing location mentioned by a reviewer was at Moose Creek Reservoir, indicating that fishing may not be permitted within the park itself.

Services: Specific details about services are limited. However, based on typical campground offerings, it likely provides campsites for tents and/or RVs. One review mentioned that the campgrounds might be "more suitable for folks with ATVs," although the reasoning behind this isn't fully explained. It's important to be aware of some potentially negative feedback regarding the cleanliness of the bathrooms, which were described as "the most disgusting" by one visitor.

Features: A key feature of Laird Park Campground is its proximity to the Palouse River, which can be attractive for water-related activities, although swimming conditions and safety should be independently verified. The park has specific regulations in place, including locked gates from 10 pm to 6 am for safety reasons. Notably, fishing is not allowed within the park, and dogs are prohibited on the beach area. One unusual feature mentioned was the presence of cows roaming throughout the campgrounds. While one visitor found this disturbing, it is a unique aspect of this location.

Promotional Information: There is no explicit promotional information available. However, the positive feedback regarding it being a "great place to take kids" suggests it may be family-friendly, particularly for those who enjoy being near the water. Potential visitors should weigh this against the concerns raised about bathroom cleanliness and the presence of roaming cows. For the most up-to-date information on availability, fees, and specific regulations, it is recommended to contact the campground directly at (208) 875-1131 or +1 208-875-1131.

For local users in Taiwan planning a camping trip in Idaho and considering Laird Park Campground, be aware of the mixed reviews. The riverside location may be appealing, especially for families. However, it is crucial to inquire about the current condition of the facilities, the reasons behind the ATV suitability comment, and the regulations regarding gate closures, fishing, and pets before making a decision. The presence of roaming cows is also a unique factor to consider.

We had a blast! The water was ice cold and the hot sun beating down was just right. Great place to take kids.

For your safety and the safety of other campers... The gates are locked from 10 pm to 6 am (what are we afraid of?) ...no fishing allowed in the park... No dogs on the beach.... The campgrounds are beautiful but more suitable for folks with ATVs. The bathrooms were the most disgusting that I have ever smelled, I don't know what that is about. There were cows roaming all over the campgrounds which was disturbing, who is "packing it out" for the cows? No dogs on the beach (for my safety) but cows no problem. Closest fishing was tools Moose Creek Reservoir, we moved camping trip to Moose Creek Reservoir.

(We did not camp; only drove through.). Bathroom was very clean. Camp sites spacious. Fun to see the cows. Ooops -- be careful of the cow pies.

Very nice campgrounds, clean and quiet, nice swimming area for your people or your dogs, large picnicking areas, great views.

Took my dog through on a walk in December. Nice and quiet, just us and the deer.

Laird park is a lovely quiet little spot. We last camped here early June of 2023. We enjoyed how peaceful the campground was, the river was high enough and cold enough for a cold plunge or two, and the hiking loop was a pleasant easy hike, but the mosquitos were pretty terrible.
